I am devastated to learn of the school shooting in Tumbler Ridge, this afternoon. Tonight, as a community is grieving, families have lost their friends, siblings, and children. I cannot begin to imagine the grief felt in Tumbler Ridge tonight, as all of us across the province mourn this loss. 1/2

A statement reading: The right to strike is a cornerstone of workers' rights. When government steps in to end a strike, it weakens the power of people fighting for fair wages, safe conditions, and respect on the job. Air Canada workers weren't just standing up for themselves -they showed that no corporation is too big to be held accountable. Working people must always have the right to negotiate freely, without government tipping the scales. I stand with Air Canada workers and every union in this country. Defending workers' rights isn't optional, it's essential to building a fairer BC and a Canada that puts people first.

The federal government just forced Air Canada flight attendants back to work, less than 12 hours into their strike.
