Overall? Some of these people are just coping in their personal, online space. That's precisely why I find it necessary to differentiate between the "neutral", "complex", and "pro" contact people from the anti contact people.

"Contact" stances are subjective to each individual who identifies with them, but a good description I saw was that "anti-contact" is "pro-consent", and that means it is in favour of CNC, but not non-consent.

That may be because "pro-ship" is not inherently NSFW, just "pro" ship/fiction, but otherwise yeah. Some people believe if you're not explicitly on either side then you're against them.
