Hawkman being a brain dead killer is purely for the Absolute Universe, which was created by Darkseid and intentionally skews characters in different, and oftentimes darker ways. The Hawkman pill would be easier to swallow if he was shining bright in the main continuity

Waking up to news of a comics legend passing away hurts like hell. RIP Mr. Sam Kieth, a once in generation talent whose work on Sandman and The Maxx changed what my pre-teen brain thought a comic could look like. I especially loved The Hollows, a book that I hope more people discover over time.

David Dasmalchian & @catstaggs.bsky.social's 'Through' is an enchanting read. I'm working on a more traditional review for this, but needed to get it out there just how much I loved this book. If you're looking for something dreamlike and reminiscent of early #Vertigo Comics, please check this out!
