WHAT A WIN!!!

Solid in defence, solid in midfield, attack was electric.

Mainoo’s best performance sine pre-Amorim.

Michael Carrick, I’m impressed 🥳

I agree. This is a phone call I would expect our director to take before signing off on the interim deal. Impressive work in Germany, and with Slot hanging by the thread this will be our only chance for him. Alonso over the likes of Pochettino and Tuchel every day of the week.

Could be one of the reasons. If he improves the midfield he should get a statue.

Got to be honest. Loved Michael Carrick as a player and the person he is, but think this will be a rocky few months. Maybe it’s just because I’m norwegian, but felt more buzz when Ole was mentioned, also from fellow supporters. All the best to Carrick though, hope he can keep a steady ship 🤞🏻🔴⚪️⚫️

Klarer såvidt å se på dette 😵

I can see Shaw moving back to the wide position when Martinez is fit, although that will probably make Shaw’s hamstring give in after staying injury free for a long time 😅 Malacia and Leon should at least get a chance unless Dorgu can pick up some form.

He was okay today, but it’s been a few games since he was even okay like today. Have more faith in Dorgu long term than Dalot, but shouldn’t have both of them on the pitch at the same time. The scare the life out of me 😂

Yeah, I also think we suffer a bit when we have Dalot and Dorgu on the pitch at the same time. Love the desire to win the ball back, and that we seem to have fight in us despite Brighton putting heavy pressure on us the last few minutes. Our new attack is 🔥🔥

Good win 👊🏻🇾🇪

3 wins a row! Amorim need to improve his in game management. The subs could’ve cost us, but overall we look like we could be going places 🥳

Decent half this. Created some good chances and this is in our hands still. Dalot need binning, he makes me miss Alex Büttner.

The point is - we bought big names, but not who we needed at the times under Woodwar. A fit Varane would have been amazing, but there was a reason Real let him leave, he spent most of his time injured. Woodward even tried to get Klopp by «tempting» him that it would be like Disneyland.

The point is he wanted a young team and was given big name signings like Varane and Ronaldo, who both were great players, but not what we needed at the time. Under LVG we had a great chance at signing Kroos, who wasn’t the biggest name at the time - and opted for Schweinsteiger who’s legs had gone.

We’ve replaced most of the players and pretty much everyone that’s been called a problem. It is definitely a problem with this system. It’s natural having a plan A, but there is no plan B. Most teams play 3 in the middle and they outnumber us every single time and we switch CB’s instead of adapting.

Another issue beside the result is that bar Amad, who just needed a chance to play - no player in the squad have improved the last 11 months. Several have regressed. There are enough here to get worried about, but I do respect those who want to stick with this and still believe.

They had Woodward running Disney world to deal with who bought names rather than adddress problems. Ole especially wanted Rice, Bellingham, Haaland but they gave him Ronaldo, who at the time was the last thing we needed. Jose got Pogba. EtH didn’t deserve more time though, he destroyed the club.

Not many left of the old players we used to blame. Not easy when the manager only have a plan A and persist with that no matter how the game develops. Anyone playing three midfields overrun us. Easy thing to address, never happens. Amorim is too stubborn to fix this.

It is good to back the manager, I really wanted him to succeed, but since he arrived we’ve not seen any evidence to suggest he is the right one. We’ve gotten rid of the bomb squad. I do not agree nothing will change, it is impossible to do a lot worse than this without actually getting relegated.

This is true, but of all the managers we’ve had post Fergie, Ruben is probably the one least deserving of time. Having made mistakes before doesn’t make it right to keep up with what seems to be the biggest one yet.

Mbuemo’s got a good engine. Would put him in Dalot’s place and Bruno as a 10, could be worth a try. It’s not like Dalot can defend anyway.

I think both Glasner (who treathened to leave if Guehi got sold) and Iraola both would jump at the chance.

Yeah but Ruben have said repeatedly he won’t change it system. In almost a full year we haven’t seen lots of proof this will even work in the future. Ineos should accept their first manager appointment didn’t succeed and move on. Ruben is a great guy, but don’t deserve more time. It’s been shocking.

Iraola or maybe Glasner.

6 months ago 0 0 1 0

I would blame Ruben for big parts of that. Bruno is one of the best creators in the world. Been sacrificed into CM where he doesn’t play to his strengths to make way for the new signings.

Bruno should probably stop taking pens. Shocking.
