We held 3 separate sessions, training over 60 members. Pictured are the final group of members who completed the course and will receive their OSHA cards, and take the knowledge they’re gained in class to their workplace and lives, to make both safer for the tenants, employers, and each other.
For the last three months, our wonderful instructor Raffie Saleem has been teaching the OSHA 30-Hour General Industry class to the good members at Electchester Management LLC in Fresh Meadows.

During the recent record-setting snow, 32BJ members like Martin Robertson were out throughout the Northeast, clearing nearly 20” of the white stuff. Thank you for making it easier for all of us to navigate the treacherous sidewalks!
The students completed hands-on fluorescent lights ballast and LED light conversions, and discussed safety tools and materials for their tasks.

Online: U.S. Citizenship Exam Practice features audio flashcards, comprehension checks & multiple voice recordings. It's meant as an addition to our citizenship classes, but you don't have to be enrolled in a class to take it.

Last year, USCIS changed its citizenship exam and made it significantly more extensive. To help 32BJ members prepare, we just launched an interactive online course that is designed to assist with the naturalization interview.

The High School Equivalency course has helped many 32BJ members earn an important credential. Today, we are pleased to recognize our student Martin Estrada, originally from Mexico, who completed all four exams and was able to obtain this certification in the State of New Jersey. Congratulations!

As we begin 2026, we would like to share the impressive story of Luis Ramos. Luis started as a 32BJ member who took some courses at the Training Fund 17 years ago. He has since undergone an evolution that is indicative of how the TF can help members achieve their personal version of success.

Students went over a cast iron section steam boiler, and covered the major components and operations and daily responsibilities of a Group 4 Building Engineer, and the logs that person must be complete. (2/4)
