Consoled to read this in the week of a terrible personal setback and to reflect that things can always get worse.
They are also tearing up that stretch for drains right now. They could just drop a barrier when they redo the tarmac - on the You Can Just Do Things principle.
I ride that stretch a lot also and will be a nice to have connector but so many other places in the city require more urgent attention (even by Vancouver's standards of urgency).
It's OK: it is borne in on me daily these days that I am just A Guy.
That said: like Ken I did used to feel the 'vibe of the Drive' when I lived there. Perhaps that counts as a there, there.
