I can’t imagine being big and wanting to use D2D’s service. They are extremely lackluster at producing ebooks and POD … which would seem to be their only businesses. Unless they’ve found some way to harvest author rage I’m unaware of.

Yep. This is the 3rd time they've targeted small authors' income in a matter of months.

First they upped the minimum income before payout.
Then they cut the amount they pay out per sale under the guise of 'consolidating' percentages.
Now this.

I have the ability to direct publish to Kobo and Kindle, bypassing @draft2digital.bsky.social for at least those platforms. It's kind of annoying to be betrayed like this when, despite my own lackluster sales, I've done a lot to promote D2D both to readers and writers.
