Yes it is true. You can turn up and spoil your ballot if you chose but you’ve got to turn up/complete postal vote.

I’m a bit the same. I find it unsettling when people leave it on when they have visitors. I never used to switch it on till the evening news but then I got obsessed with the post office enquiry and it would be on all day. Am glad to be back to enjoying the sounds outside.

It was more about needing background noise. The quiet felt really loud after Himself had gone.
I feel like I’ve reclaimed it.

It was nice. I liked the quiet again. Apart from H2 shouting at the neighbours it was lovely. Think I’ll make a habit of it. x

Also, coots have THE most silliest of walks.

My first year living opposite a canal and the coots tried to make a nest in the middle of it. Every day they would try and shore it up. Not sure if they got round to making the baby coots. The next year they got wise and made the nest at the side. We had baby coots.
