IMO, Trump’s pay-to-play system is miscalculated and only works if the rest of the world remains status quo. His brand and strategy take a hit if he’s demonstrated to be globally impotent. The free world would do well to take a page from his book and explore broad economic coalitions.

Trump's strength comes from his image and his support. He intuitively understands that power comes from coalitions and he’s crafted an image to cultivate that support. IMO, a good way to weaken both is through economic feedback.
I’m pessimistic that there’s a direct/timely way to stop the carnage. Integrity of law is hard to maintain without the capacity to enforce. When the enforcers are the ones committing the crimes it seems like the options are limited. But I do believe there could be indirect strategies.
It's a multi-year window. The US has > $36T in debt. Of that, $28T will be rolled over the next 4 yrs. Over the next 2 yrs there's also a wave of corporate refinancing. They need rates to come down but can they sell low rate treasuries with an unstable economy and a dictator in office? Not so sure.
The Treasury has a f* ton of debt to refinance coming up and Wall Street does too. If Trump gets rid of Powell, watch what happens to rates.
Doge cut the DOE balancing authorities at Tennessee Valley and Bonneville Power too and those are self-appropriated. Still don't understand what they think they're achieving. Didn't save anyone anything.
So the person conducting a not-so-covert takeover of US infrastructure left his own servers exposed for target practice? Super.
Another paper worth reading here but I actually think both understate what's actually happening: link.springer.com/article/10.1...
The metals group is beginning to set up for what could be a major rally. Platinum on the monthly is showing a lot of compression that's 3 years in the making. #platinum, #PL_F, #commodities
$OTHERS (crypto total market cap excluding top 10) is sporting a descending triangle. It's a bearish formation and not a good harbinger for next week. #crypto
$Gold made a new ATH this week and tagged its 2.618 extension and pulled back. There may need to be some consolidation in this zone before continuation but a weekly close above $2,819 opens the door to $3000.

$Silver: slow out of the gate but has held the big support level between $28 and $29. The weekly RSI has turned positive and it's flashing a TTM squeeze. A little early to declare that a major move is underway but looks promising. #silver, #SI_F, #SLV
I think this qualifies as nosebleed territory. Skew has never been this high. Maybe the market has another quarter left in it but this type of behavior is not sustainable. Eventually this will need to unwind.. #stocks, #investing
$Silver: Top = silver futures, bottom = silver futures / silver showing a sudden surge in premium. The last time this happened silver moved up over 100%. $gold futures also showing similar interest. #silver, #gold, #SI_F, #slv
It's a building system which is typically categorized as a "major unit of property" in government accounting and capitalized as part of the building itself. If you are improving the HVAC then it's more nuanced as accounting treatment depends on expansion of functionality.
I hear you. This is part of a scan I did this evening. I start with the charts I like and drill down from there.
$BTC: Keeping it simple. Price has halted downward momentum and now needs to flag for a bit. Expecting a strong rally after that. A good analogue is late January 2024.
$BTC: Odd/interesting... the duration of each of the last 3 bear markets as measured from the low to the halving has been very nearly equal to the duration of the last 3 bull markets. If this holds true again the bull will last until beginning of July.

$TSM: Above the dotted line and we have a breakout. #finsky #stockmarket #investing #stocks
$VKTX: Good risk/reward here. Filled the gap that nobody thought would get filled and looking for a buyout in 2025. Starting to see buying just above support.

$CELH: Similar to $PLUG, vol is starting to squeeze while it turns on a positive RSI divergence. This one still looks a little early but if it catches a bid can move fast.

$PLUG: Squeezing on rising volume. This stock has been a dog for a long time but the energy sector is catching a bid and $PLUG looks like it wants to participate.

$EAT: If there's a cleaner chart out there, I'd like to see it. This stock basically doubled and gave nothing back during 1 month of consolidation. Likely headed to $200, IMO.
$NNOX: Finishes the week above the downtrend line and on strong volume. Change in trend looks real.
$NNOX: Breaking mulityear downtrend. They supply advanced imaging equipment to medical facilities. Shipments ramping up in a huge market.
Long/Short ratio continues to go up and is now past the point where short term bottoms can form. #BTC, #bitcoin, #crypto.
$NQ_F: Nasdaq futures not giving warm fuzzies after hours. Breaks of long term trend lines don't necessarily signal a change in trend but they do signal a change in character. #NDX, #QQQ, #stocks
$DXY: Did the dollar kill the Santa rally? It continues to churn higher and the market is finally taking notice. #DXY #USD #stocks
