i'm seeing less and less engagement on this site and more and more right wing idiots joining.

the bluesky team are actively bending the rules of their own site to platform and defend pathetic neonazis, and even people making relatively harmless comments about them are being heavily suppressed

twitter breaks often and adds features no-one wants, bluesky doesn't even have the courtesy of adding any features

twitter's algorithm constantly shows you hateful content, bluesky's algorithm shows you pages of content that you don't care about and then might randomly show you untagged diaper porn

but as time goes on it becomes clearer to me that bluesky isn't really that breathe of fresh air, just the same shit in a different toilet

twitter has a bumbling buffoon right wing ceo, bluesky has a bumbling buffoon right wing ceo

twitter censors LGBT content, bluesky censors LGBT content

when everyone (including me) jumped over from twitter, bluesky felt like a breathe of fresh air. sure, it wasn't PERFECT (with the site missing crucial features and with common outages) but it was a vast improvement over twitter's hate-driven algorithms, arbitrary bans and blatant censorship

i've seen other people complaining about their posts being deleted or shadowbanned, most notable example being @hausofdecline.bsky.social

i've also heard a lot of people who got suspended for saying ANYTHING about charlie kirk when he was murdered, though citation needed on that

the heritage foundation (authors of project 2025 and big ties to the trump administration) recently opened a bsky account and apparently a member of the bsky moderation is following them, as well as being listed as involved with the organization on wikipedia

jay, the ceo of bsky, has been facing backlash lately after a lot of really stupid choices by the moderation team (allowing large republican figures to stay on the platform and iirc censoring trans people)

she "responded" to the criticism by posting waffle pictures /srs

so allegedly bluesky is preventing people from seeing their own posts asking for alternative websites?
