The commentary is interesting. When I grabbed the book I assumed it more to be ideas and protocols from one person at one time, rather than the definitive guide to Old Guard history and protocol. Baldwin seems to be in agreement with the many points he refutes and examples he provides 😅

What surprised me was even with only some mentorship from ‘Old Guard’ leathermen, I found myself naturally participating in many of the etiquettes and protocols outlined in the book. Guess it’s just in my nature. 😈

I’ve gotten through much of it now. The historic perspective from a member of the leather community is really insightful and very interesting. It isn’t the most well written work I’ve read though 😅
