Platner is going to Fetterman us. He’s all red flags 🚩. Dems are so certain we need a roughneck or a Joe Rogan for the left. We’re trying to look like Republicans when we should be fighting for candidates who look like OUR base, which is...not white or male.

The high road is coming in to my post and lying (or getting your facts/timeline wrong) and demanding responses. I don’t know what our being a married couple has to do with your resistance to sticking to the facts.
Passive aggressive farewell to you as well. Run along now. Troll someone else.

He was still waiting and tapping his foot and demanding answers he could have looked figured out himself. But when I gave them to him he disappeared. He thought he could gaslight us about our own district.

Donald Trump and Republicans have tried to rig the 2026 midterms. Today in Virginia, voters sent them a clear message: The power is with the people.

The “achievements” Abdul made in his unelected public health positions, all made possible by programs, policy, and funding from the legislators he attacks but also seeks to be. He carried out THEIR policies with THEIR funding. Just give a little credit where it’s due. Who do you think does the work?

Also, that is one issue that I’d like her to do better on.
Let’s assume we both also care about ICE. Haley is getting accountability for ICE, independent oversight, unmasking, inspecting facilities. Mallory is getting them out of schools, hospitals, and courthouses. What is Abdul doing to stop ICE?

I stated that she needs to keep up with her constituency in my initial post. We agree.
But why is our district so safely blue? Who made it that way? How did we get to the point that any Dem could just walk into this seat when it was exactly the opposite 8 years ago?

And Haley and Andy BOTH would have won!

Thank you for that work. Nobody wants to credit the people (you’re right, usually women) who make these wins possible. Julia never won our districts (pre-redistricting) but she made Republicans work and pay for seats they were used to strolling into. She helped turn this district blue.

The other lie is that Haley Stevens primaried Andy Levin and kicked out an incumbent.
When our new nonpartisan district maps made districts competitive, Levin left his formerly safe seat for Haley’s seat that she flipped. SHE was the incumbent in OUR district, which SHE flipped and MADE safe.

Thank you! Fake progressives continuously gaslight me about what happened in my own district. Dave Trott didn’t run because Stevens jumped in early and showed she was going to put up a fight. He hadn’t had to work to keep his seat before. She MADE this a blue district.

People want to hear from smart, compassionate women who actually know what they’re talking about. Who knew?
Congratulations on getting back in the mix!

What Lisa doesn’t say is that our state of Michigan only recently gave control of the district maps back to the voters. For decades our districts were drawn by the majority party in the state legislature, so for 40 years, our purple state had a gridlocked Republican legislature by their own design.

Driving through Berkeley on the way to the city. Just passed an overpass and the great big sign on it said only, “SHE WAS 13.“

Oh, my, the next overpass had the same sign.

Bless the resistance and everybody who works in it.

Listen, you initiated this but you keep worming your way around the points. Get back on track or see yourself out.
Why should the safety of Jewish schoolchildren here in my community of West Bloomfield, Michigan be contingent on your foreign policy stance? Why not unequivocally condemn all violence?

Some friends of mine got big time into swing dancing, and some really niche regional styles. I love seeing these art forms and the stories they carry live on!

That’s absolutely fair to point out the hypocrisy. But I think the focus of the question is about abuse being covered up and Johnson deflected and distracted with affairs that are embarrassing rather than abuse which is criminal.

I don’t care if our elected officials have affairs, that’s between them and their spouses. I care when they’re harming people, especially if they’re using the power or resources of their office to do so.

Since you insist on playing dumb, let’s do a little Jeff Foxworthy routine:
If your statement condemning violence against Jewish children in my community in W. Bloomfield Michigan contains the clarifier “but”, you might be an antisemite. 🥁
Shall we continue or are you done with bad faith arguments?

I don’t quite follow this argument in the screenshot.

Abdul has always tried to fashion himself as the next Obama or the next Mamdani. He likens himself to them directly. Yeah, Michigan’s generals are a totally different game than NYC’s primaries.

I don’t know them, but my high school marching band definitely did Zoot Suit Riot because I remember students having to explain the name Cherry Popping Daddies to our older band instructor. 🤣

I don’t know what he’s said about McMorrow. I remember how he ran against Whitmer. He’s always run nasty. Dude is toxic. He runs scorched earth, gutter politics, say and do anything to win. It didn’t work last time. Hopefully we can reject his toxicity once and for all.
