Historically evil as Trump undeniably is, the U.S. Republican Party may be worse. Because they know exactly who he is and what he’s doing — and could stop it all at any moment. Instead, they watch the world burn while cheering him on.

We are just one obit from a worldwide celebration and hope for a decent world.

(Or a tiny handful of non-immoral Republicans in the U.S. Congress, but those no longer exist.)
