ICE executed someone today. Another murder by ICE.

Now is the time to contact your representatives, via email, mail or call. Use your voice and demand action.

Support your local communities. Donate, deliver groceries, stick together, protest peacefully.

But do SOMETHING.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

We just need to continue to support our local communities and our neighbors in ways that are feasible to us and our risk tolerances. Whether that be donating to charities, delivering food, peaceful protest, organizing, etc.

To your point about the interference of the midterm elections. I am seeing bravery to confront these atrocities currently happening and I am hopeful that will still be the case when it comes to the election.

Folks are patrolling their neighborhoods to monitor ICE operations.

They are delivering food and essentials to others who are fearful to leave their homes.

All the while braving harsh winter conditions in the face of violence and intimidation from the federal government.

At least in Minnesota, a common phrase I hear is, “I have never protested before, but I could not sit by any longer in silence”

Not only are folks showing up to protest for their first time, there are plenty of other ways people are providing support for their community.

Despite the awful events that are unfolding, there are causes to be hopeful.

There are so many “normal”, typically non-politically active folks that are showing up against the actions of the administration.

Stay aware, alert, and prepared.

Iceout.org is an informative site where you can see real time witness reports of ICE and their locations: observed, active, and critical.

It is more important than ever to share these resources. Do not ignore what is happening.
