Whilst not record breaking, we have now recorded 11 consecutive days with #rain in #reigate which is the longest run of 2024.

The record is 27 days running from 19th December 2015 to 14th January 2016.

As #StormDarragh slowly moves away from #Reigate, it has left us with the windiest December day we have recorded and also the 2nd windiest day ever (just failing to beat the record set in Feb 2020).

This apparently healthy hornbeam is fortunately one of only a few trees claimed by #StormDarragh in Priory Park, Reigate. But it’s a good one..in an important ancient woodland of hornbeam and oak being picked off by each storm in recent years..who by? Arguably us.
