I remember being a young patient-zero for gaming in my friendgroup. Reading the 3.5 rulebooks and try trying to figure out what this game even was. I eventually ended up "deducing" that a session of DnD was... 3-4 meticulously-crafted combat encounters every night with minimal plot connecting them.
