Rewrote the code for the Rotate Tool this week. If you hold down ctrl when using it, all selected objects will flip as a group, instead of rotating around their own pivots. This means that you now can "rotate" your custom objects.

An image in isometric pixel art style, depicting five doors with different window designs.
I mostly fixed bugs this week, but I did have time for some pixel art. Here are some new doors for the Pixel Room Creator 1.1 update.

An image in pixel art style, depicting robot parts with different shapes and patterns. Some look like animals, others are abstract.
I didn't paint any eggs this week. Instead, I brainstormed some new robot parts for Pixel Robot Creator and decorated some of them with patterns. I'll continue working on these and making more assets later this year.

Some new assets for the Pixel Room Creator 1.1 update. This week I made parts so you can build your own cat tree … because, why not?

Rewrote the code for the Paint Bucket Tool in the Pixel Room Creator 1.1 update. Instead of clicking on every object you want to paint, just hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor. Every object that is touched by the paint bucket cursor will be painted.

I've been working on Pixel Room Creator this week. Here are some half-finished assets that will be in the 1.1 update. I will create some more when I have time. Currently aiming at getting the update done for the one year anniversary, June 1.

Some sort of retro futuristic handheld game console ...

Sorry, no pixel art object study this weekend. I've been busy coding a game tool. Will hopefully have a working prototype in a month or so...
An image in isometric pixel art style, depicting the video phone from Pokémon with different color palettes: one original green, one blue and black, one white and black, and one red with a white cross.
Another object study of a device from Pokémon. The green one looks like the reference, the rest I just played around with different color palettes…

Thanks! 🫡Yeah, same here - even if I had a lot of fun in MS Paint growing up, pixel art as an art form I've just practiced for about two years now.
An image in isometric pixel art style, depicting a Windows 95 PC. Green text is on the monitor, and a floppy disk is lying beside the mouse.
Object study of another oldie. First machine I made pixel art on. I was four or something and scribbled stick figures in MS Paint… ðŸ«

Thanks! The green and blue one I just had fun with different color palettes. The white one probably looks more natural because that's what the reference looks like.ðŸ«
An image in isometric pixel art style, depicting three brick cell phones - one white, one blue, and one green.
Object study of a brick ... I mean prehistoric cell phone. Hard to believe my father used to carry one of these babies around when he hunted mammoths...

An image in isometric pixel art style with a Game Boy green color palette, depicting a Game Boy Color and a Pokémon Silver cartridge.
Played Pokémon Silver on good ol' Game Boy Color when I was a kid. Didn't understand a word English, but still managed to beat all the gym leaders. Although, I didn't find Lugia until I replayed the game as an adult...

Yeah, I know I made door animations last week, but I wanted to try out isometric animations as well.

More abstract robots with animations...

Thanks! I'm using Krita for pixel art at the moment. Not the most optimal program to move pixels in, but I'm used to the interface. Later this year I'm going to try out Aseprite.
One of the abstract robots I made yesterday, with some different animations.
