Gene Wilder's death was the one which shook me up the most that year. That man was one of my childhood heroes, I loved his movies, especially Young Frankenstein

What's The Story in #Balamory? This legacy sequel was certainly a fun trip down memory lane. Despite my 00s Nostalgia fatigue, I'm making an exception for this one out of personal bias. I do hope it catches on with the next generation of kids the same way that the original series did with mine.

Josie Jump's regeneration in the original show definitely took everyone by surprise. I wonder if she'll make a return in the new show. She's probably Tri-Generated by now into the vet and Billie Piper, lol. But seriously though, I'm glad Balamory's back, the og show was a real childhood fav of mine.

Just goes to show how timeless it really is tbh.

Honestly, I'm just glad that show is making a return. It's a childhood favourite of mine which I still hold dear to my heart, and despite it being a big hit when I was small, it's often underrated when talking about great British Kids TV tbh. Really glad a new generation will discover it.

Enjoying that BBC iPlayer has separated Balamory into two different eras like they did with Doctor Who.

As I once said before, I feel like if Russell and co had been cautious and focussed the Gatwa era entirely on those 2 seasons with the anticipation that Disney might not renew the deal, I feel like things narratively and production-wise would've gone much smoothly.

Thank you! I definitely prefer the latter. A lot of my earlier colourisation work was heavily rushed, and my impatience at the time was my own worst enemy. I am glad that I've managed to overcome it on this front.

Looks like a fusion of Peter Purves and Frazer Hines

I'm gonna get a bit defensive and say that considering certain shows like this which I grew up on are often left out of the mainstream conversation when talking about nostalgic British Kids TV, I'm glad this deliberate nostalgia bait reboot is happening for once. It's an exception to me.

I'm actually doing my own version of this scene ๐Ÿ˜†. These are just some work in progress shots, some things will be changed later on.

If Bond could be played by an Aussie (even if as a one-off), there's no reason why The Doctor can't either.

I'm actually hoping to do my own version of "The Traitors" as a passion project. However, I would love to help with the colour grading for your one if there's a position for that. The main plan I have for my own animation is to make it look and sound like a stop motion animation from the 60s.

Historical companions could present great opportunities to make the past feel less distant and otherworldly for a modern audience, by having people from that time as flawed, complicated, and empathetic, rather than what they did with Katarina for example.

I think that probably the most unfortunate thing about Katarina is how people have used her as a scapegoat for so long about why Doctor Who doesn't do historical companions anymore (apart from Jamie and Victoria).

Not saying it should be done at all, but I think if they are to do it, it should be handled by a separate animation team due to the amount of sets and characters.
