mfw I forgot I signed up for @writingbattle.bsky.social in May. #writersofbluesky if you're looking to jumpstart something in flashfic, maybe check it out.

Stoat is currently picking up some steam. Great app, but it'll take a while before most people catch up to it.
A shot from the 19-minute documentary, Fallout Dogs; the cute puppy is looking dashing.
TIL there's a documentary on doggos living in the CEZ. It's sombre, it's hopeful, it's made me tear up just a little bit. juliaoldham.com/fallout-dogs
"You sleep pretty."
First computer upgrade in 10 years, took a leap of faith with @bazzite.gg. A week in so far, and idk why I didn't just make the jump long before. Best distro ev-er. Microslop can go jump off a Window. Even has cute lil Godot folder icons!
Looking hard enough makes Uni look like a cat penguin tucking their paws into the pockets.
It depends on the HP, or a couple of other factors. 1 is safe, 2 is long-drawn. But I can see how 3 can benefit the player in the long run, assuming dying doesn't mean game over, and assuming the death roll is independent.
What I’d do if I started making ttrpgs in 2026:
- Create zines initially
- Pitch to established publishers
- Focus on less art and better layout
- Don’t chase trends or awards
- Collaborate more
- Don’t rely on crowdfunding
- Promote unashamedly
- Judge success against your own progress
The multiplayer modes for both Uncharted and The Last of Us were underrated. The deagle was particularly difficult to get shots with, but when you do pick off someone with it, man does that make the brain feel good.
I might be imagining things, but... I have a sinking feeling this alternate universe #Peacemaker loves so much is Get Out Part 2 in disguise. In S02E03, I couldn't see a single non-white extra in the bgd in that universe. It's got to be intentional... #dcstudios #PeacemakerS2
Whew, the #OnePageRPGJam2025 was a treat to do! My entry for @onepagerpgjam.bsky.social is an attempt at turning the fighting game experience in a ttrpg format. 🥋
It's my first ever ttrpg. If you're a fan of both genres, this might be up your alley!

It's funny coz Telltale TWD S1 does it in a hit-or-miss way. You can be rude to the cop in the start (but Lee'll choose not to), and you can tell Clem to hit the loo (but Lee shouts at her for it). The only difference is players can misinterpret the latter option easily, which they may not want.
The #neotwinyjam was fun. Managed to get an entry in without passing out of exhaustion from juggling life stuff.
Hastly put together, but it's inspired a very interesting idea I might just pursue when I've either the time or I've finished the existing projects. daspruthvi96.itch.io/quick-summon...
It's a cute touch! Even better if it's a filter we can select.
Obsidian is a great tool that I completely forgot about. I used it mainly to take notes on the books I read. Reading this post nudged me to recheck it, and it's only now I realized what grave a mistake I made forgetting it. Might just do the same and switch over!
Ah, one of our jammers is new to the jamming scene, so their Itch profile is new. The site's working on tackling bot/sus activities, so it must think the new account is a bot/spam. I can vouch for it; our submission is for #GGJ2025!

100% this. Decision-making, planning and organising, creative direction... if all of this is either absent or poor, it affects everything... especially the writing.
To combat screen fatigue, @majorbacon.bsky.social and I teamed up to make a physical 2-player card game for @globalgamejam.bsky.social! Presenting Burst Your Bubble! Grab a fellow board gamer, print the cards out, find some shade in a park, and give the game a go! 😃
Being a writer is almost entirely about perseverance. Life is going to continuously try to keep you from writing or from getting published or from getting things made, and you just have to get in life's way and say “No.”
Alright, writers. Take a cue from Lynch: go be your weird damn selves and leave some fucking art in this world before you're gone.
Cover image for the article. The dimmed background shows a Shinobi warrior wielding a katana. The article's title, subheading, and post link are layered on top of the image.
First ever Substack post! It’s interesting how a lot of people felt the Dragonrot system was lacklustre, but not many blogs covered it as much. So here’s a little something I wrote about it.
