The sequence of play has a nice skeleton now

I find the exploration aspect deeply relaxing and compelling, but also repetitive. Definitely will need to flesh out more flavorful outcomes, and I think I need to up the encounter and distress signal chances

Setup a spreadsheet to take care of the Star System generation so I can quickly get into a game to playtest, but I do enjoy rolling them up manually and doing this with pencil and paper

I've been playing Alpha Strike with my son (using hexes and no heat because he's not comfortable with that level of complexity) and I've thought about introducing classic hit locations, damage & individual weapon ranges, but keeping AS movement and TMM mechanics
