Iran Says Hormuz Strait Now Completely Open for Commercial Ships Iran announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now “completely open” for commercial traffic, a major step toward ending a war with the US and Israel that’s sent energy prices surging.

Strait's open!

(I found out because Al Jazeera called me, I'll be on in an hour's time to talk about it!)

The Home Office' anti-immigration agenda is strangling growth across the economy. It prevents a closer relationship with Europe, deprives us of the workers we need and undermines universities.

Look at the women at NASA.

They are the ones pushing the boundaries of science, solving problems most people can’t even understand, and carrying this country forward, while our politicians right now posture and stumble through talking points.

And they are doing it all with joy.👇

“Writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation. They deepen and widen and expand our sense of life: they feed the soul. When writers make us shake our heads with the exactness of their prose and their truths, and even make us laugh about ourselves or life, our buoyancy is restored. We are given a shot at dancing with, or at least clapping along with, the absurdity of life, instead of being squashed by it over and over again. It's like singing on a boat during a terrible storm at sea. You can't stop the raging storm, but singing can change the hearts and spirits of the people who are together on that ship.”

–Anne Lamott, 'Bird by Bird,' 1994

Read, write, dance - or clap - but definitely sing:

At 6am, they burst into the room.

Cold water. Braided whips.

This still happens every Easter in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Some call it tradition. Others don’t.

I asked women what they really think:

15 years for care workers is going to be unpopular. Nobody knew it was 15 years for chefs + plumbers + electricians + hotel managers + lab technicians + data analysts I think you would struggle to find people who thinks that is fair to them or good for the UK, however they vote.
