Then they say AEW uses it too much, so WWE has the better approach. First, people need to remember that the Piledriver was NOT strictly a finisher when it was banned. Some guys just had it as a regular move. It's really not that big a deal, WWE just wants you to think it is

They've brought back two iterations of the Piledriver, one that Owens hasn't been able to use in ten years, and it's so far led to no victories or titles. And sorry if I seem pessimistic but with talk of Roman and Rock involved are they fuck gonna have KO win the title
I don't mean to be down on it but WWE keep introducing stuff that clearly isn't going to matter long term because they're obsessed with Cody or Bloodline stuff. Kevin having this entire heel turn only matters if it leads to him having a direction, and currently that direction is Cody's fluffer

He actually faces Cody, and hits the Package Piledriver. Awesome! I popped! But again, it didn't win him the match, or the title. He stole it sure but that means fuck all really
He hit a Piledriver on Orton. It injured him, sure, but it gained no net positive for Kevin. No title, not even a victory.
You could say it strengthened his heel character. Sure. But for what? Do we honestly think he's beating Cody?
I kinda have a big problem with what's going on with KO atm. This whole Piledriver stuff is ringing seriously hollow for me
