Yeah, I suppose you could account for that by putting in additional clues throughout the run that let you narrow down which one it is. The alternate act layouts could be an indicator, maybe one of the gift ancients gives a clue, maybe certain events would eliminate a suspect, etc.

Just thinking of Vakku playing a random card in your draw pile against you, or Orobas transforming your entire hand to a random selection from the other 4 characters' card pools
It'd be cool if instead of a guaranteed encounter like Shield & Spear, the Act 4 Elite in Spire 2 was one of the remaining Ancients you hadn't seen in that run.
Each could have a distinct battle structured around their personality and style of gift.
Keiza was asked about Rowling's transphobia and gave a long answer about how much she loves and respects Rowling, never once mentioning trans people. I think you are ascribing good intentions to her that do not appear to come from anywhere.
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
"You've got the power to be his friend" is such an intimidating thing to say about a video game character. Not only is being his friend a difficult goal requiring strength of will, you have to be reassured through song that it's even achievable

good posts today
Its systems are surprisingly deep, so it's rewarding to master and there are a ton of different ways to play it. I think it's a great bad game, so it averages out to a good game. It'd be an amazing multiworld game.
4 hour youtube video essay on the evolution of text-to-speech systems over the years, focusing entirely on how different models have pronounced "fgsfds"
I think it's because "I" is a rare single letter english word and looks strange when it's followed by another word starting with a capital I, like in the "I INTEND" example above. It's a bit hard to see with them highlighted in different colors, but the two crossbar I's next to each other look "off"

Huh, it's almost like when the job of Senator requires more than "go on Bill Maher and nod thoughtfully when he rails against Arabs", you're not up for it. Maybe you should step aside for someone who has more to offer than "hopefully the troops will refuse to nuke Tehran"?

When a Necrobinder build is going well
Yeah, that oughta do it
Definitionally, anything an AI "produces" is not art, but a regurgitation of something previously created by a human. It is not creation. It may resemble art, but it will never be valuable in the way art is.
I kind of admire them doing an episode that off-putting and cringey and then ending it on a big shaggy dog joke.
It helps that the characters are like "Jesus, now what" the entire time, too.

Sure! "Cyclists have a right to the road, too, you noisy, polluting, inconsiderate maniacs! I hope gas goes up to eight bucks a gallon!"
$8 a gallon for gas???
That's right
What hooked me with Spire 1 was almost every time I said "Of course they wouldn't let you do this, it would be ridiculous", I was wrong
Chainsawsuit comic by Kris Straub from 2014. A Star Trek-like captain, modeled on Vanderbeam from Starslip, is told by the chief in engineering to come down and take a look at something. The captain repeatedly asks the chief to tell him over the intercom, to which the chief keeps saying no.
On the plus side, you can do this to the captain on a regular basis. Perks of the job
A vital part of this game would be managing the captain's expectations as well - the "I can do it in eight hours" / "You've got two" dynamic. Giving accurate estimates to the captain will make the game impossible. You have to be hypercompetent, but the captain can't realize how competent you are.
