This is interesting on Eurovision. There is another letter the other way signed by fewer music types, though Sharon Osbourne flying in for the Robinson Rally on same day as song contest did sign that one.

when I said more important this, for a start, would qualify.
I am old #8543 Just complained to BBC about use of staycation when they were actually talking about UK holidays. I know it's trivial in the context of all stuff going on but effin hell Radio 4 should know better. #mundane
On leake Street a squirrel with a leak. Don't think he'll be getting back on his feet but, at least, the crows will get a feast.

Interesting on the Swedish digital pullback in education. I'll level with you. I find in interesting. (so far)

I really hope I never ever meet an American who says Eye-RAN -ian to me. Honestly not ready to do time for anything so trivial. FFS it's I - RAIN -IAN #mundane
rest of day really good except #effoffEverton and then, as it was such a good day otherwise, just eff off a bit further.
two nice book things today a) Austin tennis coach in Myatts fields saying he wants a copy after seeing posters in Ruskin Park where he also coaches b) ran into mate Andy 'the sparks' who said he had job in Loughborough Estate and spotted copy of South Parks on coffee table.
I'm all over it lids.
Coffee out back. Sun is out. Off to lido. Who, as Oliver sang, will ruin this wonderful morning.
*hooves heard in background*
Oh no! Who's that coming over the hill? is it the toffees is it the toffees?
#effoffEverton
In the course I'm designing for Sept 2026 for all students around legislation and debate and social media the young ppl (all over 16 like) are going to asked if under 16s should be banned and, also, whether over 60s should be.
That's obviously unless they on a discount. Call this off now and while we about it surely the Eurovision should be pulled this year. #captainboycott

Erm had another lovely day but this surely has to be the final straw for this world cup. To contextualise this a Brixton based Spurs fan would pay £10 or less to be this disappointed.
They died of apoplexy when I put the jam on before the cream or whichever way they don't like.
My name is Chris and I FULLY endorse this post. This is the hill I will die on and nearly did in a spat with Devon Tourist board a few years ago. Besides which far more ppl in this country are closer to 'abroad' and therefore a 'holiday' than other parts of UK.
Just to say I've had an effin lovely day interspersed with moments of 'aw ain't London wonderful'* moments. Gawd bless us, gawd bless us all etc. Yes I may have a margarita with my pizza tea at lido caff.
*snarling dead fox aside
To the fox by the wall.
Next to an infant school on the Regent Road you were left in a snarling pose. Mostly intact, except you are dead. Just a bit of a gash on the side of the head. #roadkillthrenody
5 from Rotherhithe / Bermondsey edition 1) that extremely 'wall pub in the Blue 2) the caryatids of Southwark park 3) how ornate Rotherhithe station is 4) goose mosaic Winchelsea house 5) Hilltop Youth* = Hitler Youth stickers by Brunel Museum.
*I thought they were a firm at the Den. Apparently not
Ta lid. Notice a bruhaha on the other place (which we do not post on anymore at least I don't) about New Cross caused by some female horse puncher. Even Scott Wood now of the coast felt obliged to join in.
Word of day "rum padder" is an 18th-century slang term for a well-mounted, armed highwayman. The term combines "rum" (meaning excellent) and "padder" (a footpad), indicating a superior or highly successful highwayman.
For the savages out there who think Rotherhithe wildlife means Dave and Carol from the Salt Quay having a domestic or Millwall having a row. There really are housemartins in the flats by river.

Have a meeting in Rotherhithe this morning and quite looking forward to lazy cycle back along Thames. Don't think I've been that way for a few years. Any SE16 types know if the housemartins still in residence. No not these

I never thought I'd be retweeting memes from a theological regime on a US platform (that btw has banned official account) that is, you know, quite clever.

Word of day is foley after Jack Foley. Reproduction of everyday sound effects added to films post-production to enhance audio quality, such as footsteps, rustling clothes, or squeaky doors.
Thanks for response (and the aside).
That's lovely. Was it really like that? Puts one in mind of Medici Florence.... oh no wait. Still lovely though.
