It’s outrageous that people are being fired just for calling for a ceasefire. Speaking up to end the violence is what every single decent human being should be doing. Instead, people are being punished for advocating for fundamental human rights.
It’s sad that for many, “moving on from the pandemic” means completely ignoring the reality of COVID.
“Moving on” should instead mean learning from COVID and making easy adjustments to how we live so that we protect our health and make society accessible to everyone going forward.

TLDR; Wearing a mask won't alone eradicate COVID but the more you do it, the more spaces you help make accessible to everyone, especially higher risk people. We can't accept excluding people from society indefinitely. Even if you only do it sometimes, wearing a mask is worth it.
