So many excellent stories in that one. His earlier collection is great too!

Upon moving a window from one display to another.
macOS: let me draw ghost window so you can place it properly
Me: on thank…
MacOS: just kidding. I need to resize this window, but only sometimes, to match the aspect ratio it had on that other display (portrait vs landscape)
Upon redocking…
MacOS: you want me to randomize the position and size of all those windows on the wrong displays?
Me: no
MacOS: here ya go

I felt that moment in my soul.
I recall hearing that the split diopter shots (with multiple panes of focus) was heavily used in this film. I'm not sure if it was the first, but definitely an advanced technique for the time.

Once upon a time I thought the song inspired by the Challenger Disaster. I was wrong… but the relevance is remarkable
This was Friday, Feb. 20th after about 35 students from Quakertown High School in PA walked out around 11:30 a.m in peaceful protest of ICE.
Local police showed up and physically assaulted two students without provocation.
This is what Trump wants in every city and town in the US.
I’ve flown southwest for years, sometimes more than a dozen times per year. The unassigned seats and orderly boarding however, were THE two features I liked the most. Both gone. Let’s see how orderly this new approach is. I do not have high hopes.
James Van Der Beek - RIP Pazu
Makes me think of this piece:

Now read about the origins of the song:

There are phrases spoken at the end, described here:
gaffa.org/faq/faq_houn...
"Tiefer, tiefer, irgendwo in der Tiefe gibt es ein Licht"
translated as...
"deeper, deeper, somewhere in the depth there is a light"
"Hello Earth" first appeared on The Hounds of Love albumn released Sep 16, 1985, over 4 months prior to the disaster on Jan 24, 1986.
How can this song resonate so clearly when it came out beforehand?
Listen for your self, keeping the disaster in mind: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7QC...
I can imaging her excitement for the upcoming trip and later, "Why did I go?" I also think of how Challenger fell over the ocean, as the end of the song has submarine sonar as if searching for debris and finding the cabin essentially intact.
Kate Bush's "Hello Earth" and it's eerie relation to the Challenger Disaster
While the song has a clip that mentions Columbia and describes a views of space at point, the song resonates more with Challenger because Christa McAuliffe was on board
Beautifully subtle and understated. Very calming. Lovely.
What the KENNEDY Center used to be…
Remember that time Aretha Franklin performed at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors, paying tribute to Carole King, who co-wrote “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” and it brought a tear to Obama’s eye and everyone to their feet? And Carole King’s reaction. Wow.
Feels like AI. Notice he has that rolling motion just like the sims games.
I am hoping they do what Simon Says

Been watching this (apparently again - at least in part, but only one or two plot points remembered ahead of time). Tremendous premise and interesting characters and quirks.
A true miracle drug! (Via Science!!)
