If you plan to attempt a Wayland only experience AMD is your best bet. On X11 with latest drivers NVIDIA should be doing better although I hear it is fairly good on Wayland too (for new cards only) but not on the level that AMD is out of the box.

People that want to control and oppress you want to limit your ability to think for yourself as much as possible, but continuing to practice it allows you to resist them.
