Two years since the day I took this piece of paper, while running to find my spot in the media tribune at the Iconic Lusail Stadium, without a clue that I am about to watch and witness the greatest football match of all times, first hand.
Since 7/10, 5 Middle Eastern scenes have been directly affected by the war:
🇮🇱 paused, returned, no international games
🇵🇸 complete hiatus
🇱🇧 suspended, will return in January 2025
🇮🇷 no international games
🇸🇾 suspended until further notice
Within 24 hours, the association received letters from most of the clubs that they would not show up for the games. The association postponed the league until further notice.
The Syrian Federation announced last Tuesday that Premier League games will be held behind closed doors, and that all youth and women's football activities in the country are postponed until further notice.
