I’ve used Glasslock (Kinetic’s version though I think others are recommended now) for many years and strongly recommend. The one downside is you’d want to transfer to different for taking to work for lunch or similar due to weight, but they’re amazing for effective storage
And by this stories are made
“You and Me and the Wallpaper” name of your Yacht Funk band
“I’ve hit my code switching limit for the year this is doing neural damage”
Feels like crocs would be awkward to wear even if they didn’t try to bite
“This colonial orgasm book is fucking rank”
“We need a motive that’s reasonable. Not croc-based.”
“Croc-based motives *are* reasonable”
Anyways folks should be watching Deadloch
Time for Ultraviolet Heart Machine by Seattle “art pop” band Mt Fog @mtfog.bsky.social who you should all listen to
And now, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs with Show Your Bones
Up next is The Worriers (no that’s not a typo) with the deliciously accusatory “You or Somebody You Know” in a translucent aqua pressing
Today’s first vinyl is The Platters, a compilation album. Sixteen tons, rock around the clock, day-o, love me tender, summertime, my serenade, and more good stuff

This has destroyed me with laughter. My dad offered up his school copy if I ever wanted to study and I worked my way through that first page many a time.

More vinyl! The Hu, Rumble of Thunder. Iconic band.
Vinyl 3: Pat Benatar, In the Heat of the Night. You know what, yall should go listen to this too.

Imagine the Oscars cinematic universe
It took me a few tens of seconds to recall that’s a podcast but before then I was befuddled and giggling at the idea of catching up with centenarians who are marathoning Star Trek
Americans drive a lot more than people in other rich countries.
If we didn’t drive so much, we wouldn’t die in so many crashes.
It’s a simple point, but one that NHTSA, traffic engineers, and many road safety org’s have yet to learn.
Me, in Bloomberg 🧵
And then the writer nation attacked?
Yeah, 90% of my skirts are midi for just this reason. Somehow got away with a long drapey absorbent yellow skirt for friends’ wedding last year… on a farm! But in exchange for occasional good luck I play it safe the rest of the time
It’s entirely possible that this was at least partially about ending their association w/black and queer people. Now they will try to rebuild as the “safe” third space, by which they mean a space where white people feel safe.
The problem is the usual one. We make shit cool.
See also Starbucks.
I should rewatch, it’s been a while
*definitely doesn’t do anything worrisome*
Because you have a well-honed sense of danger?
Yesssss I’m excited for this one
