I feel like a lot of Marvel Rivals players could vastly improve they applied some basic military principles
1) Hold chokepoints
2) Protect your supply lines (ie supports)
3) Don't charge solo into a blatant killbox for no goddam reason

A closeup of the face of a male mandarin duck agaist a a background of leafy green water. It is a duc with a proportionally large head with a small red beak and a wide range of colours including orange, blue, white, dark green, purple black and gold in an elaborate opulant looking arrangement.
Mandarin ducks are some of my favourites, and a trip this afternoon had a particiularly showy individually posing nicely for me enough that I could get some relatively close up shots.
A section of river near Oundle, Northamptonshire looking over a river and floodplane with a moody blue grey sky in the background.
I live in an extremely human modified landscape and it's hard to picture what Northamptonshire would have been like in the past.
Even this view with a floodplain while it feels to me more wild, is ultimately a very human modified one.
Prey items of jaguars for the record include capybara, peccaries, tapir and caiman which they kill using a bite at 1500psi.
Jaguars kill humans less often than lions, tigers or leopards but it absolutely does happen.
This has been a public service announcement to educate about catgirl safety.

The thing about catgirls and other fictional catfolk is that felids are not only obligate carnivores but also most species in normal circumstances greatly favour hunting over scavenging.
By size, mass and ancestral dietry needs, a catgirl is essentially a sentient bipedal jaguar.
I feel there are some thematic layers to the fact that most Marvel Rivals cheaters I spot are playing Punisher?
Truely Frank Castle is the patron saint of performative fragile masculinity.
A near complete repainted snow leopard toy with more nuanced colours and patterns than the original paintjob, resting on Alex's hand.
And that's it mostly done: still wanna refine the face and a few oher fine details a bit when its finished but pretty pleased overall!
The snow leopard toy, now beginning to repaint the spots and other dark markings.
And beginning to layer in tje spits and other dark markings!
A first layer of painting knthe sbke leopard toy - it is now a mix of ochres, greys and white
So first of all we do a fresh undercoat of richer yellows and greus over that previously flat beige
A plastic toy snow leopard held in Alex's hand - the sculpting has lots of fur details but the plastic is largely pale cream and the spots are painted on fairly crudely.
A toy snow leopard zoomed in on its face which has been only clumsily painted giving it uneven eyes staring off in different directions.
I recently saw a video of someone repainting a toy animal to have more realistic and naturalistic colours, and it occured to me that'd be a fun little project for this snow leopard toy I got a few years back.
Here's the before, I've never tried this before so lets see what I can do!
The dustjacket of a 1977 Earthsea omnibus depicting a large green dragon flying over a sea at sunset with a wizard riding upon its back.
The first time I read Earthsea it was in this omnibus and I still really enjoy the cover.
See you say that for butterfree, but as someone who started on Yellow, butterfree was actually the only half decent choice for Brock 🤣
A member of of the X-men - Emma Frost. A young white woman with very sharp facial features and platinum blone hear, she is wearing close fit white trousers, a white corset and a cropped jacket with a large fur collar extending out to her shoulders. Pulses of blue energy are emanating from her head as she raises two fingers to her temple.
Today's #Xmen portrait is #EmmaFrost the former villain turned heroic leader. I tried to redesign a little to reconcile the bondagey themes her outfits often have with the fact she works in school and government?
Alex trivia: I have an ancestor called Emma Frost! Probably didn't dress like this.
On the one hand, that is a terrifying gallery of morally grotesque people to be occupying what was once a cornerstone of the internet.
But, it also speaks deeply to how diminished it is as somewhere that matters. Overwhelmingly US isolationist, Kevin Sorbo is one of your lead attractions? Lol.
No decision has come out of Adobe for years to make me doubt my choice to buy a second hand physical copy of CS4 and use that for the last decade plus.
Gingko - a spotted salamander, being a large black salamander with golden splotches, peers from her little cave of moss.
As we havent checked you in with her for a while:
Gingko believes that you should take all the time to hide in a pile of moss you need and supports you (from her own pile of moss)
Today's #Xmen portrait - Dark Beast!
You may know Beast, the blue erudite ape-like founding X-man, but in the alternate Age of Apocalypse timeline he was an evil geneticist.
He later escaped that timeline back to the main Marvel universe where he continued his evil experiments in secret.
A pair of pheasant-tailed jacana standing atop lillies in a lake. They are slender wading birds.
I mean, I didn't get to see them in this spectacular breeding plumage but they definitely exist - saw a bunch in Cambodia a few years back!
Fisk in this series is an allegory for Trump, although I think it worth remembering that in some ways Fisk also embodies what Trump pictures himself as.
Trump is not a strategic mastermind who can pop a man's head with his bare hands, but they are both people for whom harm is their first tool
A compelling part of Daredevil Born Again that is kinda flying under the radar is seeing the mentality of Fisk's inner circle.
A mixture of true believers, sycophants, people who live in fear of him and violent monsters who bask in the freedom he gives them to play out their own violent cruelty
I don't think it's even HR so much as executive types not knowing or caring what a healthy work environent looks like?
Cos like, half my previous job was "Kettering-proofing" literally every process because there's always someone who is gonna try and do something malicious, unhinged, bizarre and/or negligent unless you spell it out like an airtight genie wish, so thats now my skillset I guess? 🤣
Why are all jobs like "we are looking a max energy, ultra dynamic candidate for an intense high paced team going full throttle 24/7 while we douse ourselves in rocket fuel" and never like "we want a considered, measured person who wants to meticulously make our systems real smooth and foolproof"
Means of transitioning that are probably quicker than the NHS's:
- Find a Genie
- Wait for a cyberpunk future, then have your brain moved into an appropriate gendered cyborg body
- Carefully monitor your karma so you get your preferred gender next loop of the reincarnation cycle
A small piece of pale yellowish stone with a fossil imprint of a long coiled shell.
A small piece of stone comprised of a dense matt of micro fossils.
A flood dense was excavated round the corner from me last year and while it has not yet overgrown or flooded I thought I'd explore and thus found a few small fossils!
Today's #Xmen portrait is #Bloodstorm.
There's thousands of alternate reality versions of heroes, and most tend to be entirely forgotten in the shadow of the original.
But occassionally there's one with some staying power, and thus Bloodstorm; "what if Storm got turned into a vampire by Dracula?"

I just saw a "you win a shit load of money if you can evade an animal of your choice for 24hrs" question.
Personally, I pick a coral.
Or Scart? Tho I feel Scart swears a lot more than either of them...
