Why would anyone expect a public service to make money?

If we're going to use this as a standard, how much money did the RCMP and the Canadian Armed Forces "lose" in the past eight years?

Is that Rose who's from the Bronx? It sounds fun to rewatch. I'll try to carve out some time to do so.

Thanks. It's really hard to see him suffering. We're doing all we can to take care of him and try to find treatments/therapies that help, but there's not much available - as I'm sure you know.

Are you watching/rewatching Lost?? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I've been meaning to watch it again.

100% this. My family would love to put COVID in the past tense, but we have immunocompromised kids, one of whom already has Long COVID. We're still living like it's 2020, but without the community support. It's hard to have sympathy for people who were lonely/bored for a few months six years ago.

Not just the academic left. There are well-meaning progressives who defend autocentricity because they think low-income people need cars, and therefore bike lanes and transit improvements are somehow elitist.

But how will we be able to tell? (kidding, those things are ugly AF)

The City of Vancouver has just announced they had a $530 million surplus last year.

It follows a $860 million surplus the year before, and years of $300+ surpluses.

It's the annual reminder that when local politicians say times are tough, they're usually being misleading to suit their agendas.

Europe has 'maybe 6 weeks of jet fuel left', energy boss warns Flights could soon be cancelled if supplies from the Gulf remain blocked, says the International Energy Agency.

Blockades in the Strait of Hormuz are causing massive fuel supply problems.

In Ontario, 70% of the so-called β€˜natural’ gas used to heat buildings come from the US.

Meanwhile, the sun and the wind continues to be largely untapped because corporations like Enbridge are locking us into their systems.

Right, but sports movies always start with the heroes as underdogs; that makes their ultimate success all the sweeter.

If NASA isn't selling replicas of Rise, they should get on that ASAP. I can't be the only one who wants one!

Induction is amazing. It's fast, even, consistent, and easy. My tip is to find an induction range with physical controls, like this one: www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/produc....

Ah, sorry. I was coming at this question as a dog owner. In that case, you may be stuck buying a can of three.

I would go to a tennis club and ask at the pro shop. If you don’t need it to be brand-new, they will probably give you one or sell it to you for cheap. Or go to a public park that has courts and look in the bushes/grass nearby for balls that have gone over the fence.
