USS Constantinople, a Steamrunner class ship and the former flagship of Admiral Sorac Dunar, now assigned to Starbase 400's Task Force 1.
Love my new addition to my collection, the Titan-A/Enterprise-G Bridge print signed by Doug Drexler, @daveblass.bsky.social,
@mikeokuda.bsky.social, and Denise Okuda!
Got another round of snow coming tomorrow... 3-5in in the morning, another 1-3in in the evening. (That's a lot here in SC). Hey @realtoddstashwick.bsky.social, what's a good libation for a snow in?
It's here! Two ships that have been a part of #Starbase400's lore for many years, the Steamrunner class USS Constantinople & the Ambassador class USS Thresher! Full 4k renders available to our paid Patreon members at www.patreon.com/Starbase400 & learn more at starbase400.org/lcars.html
Oh? You want another sneak peak at our next set of renders? Well, okay...
Capt. Ake isn't Human. Lanthanites are eccentric & a half Lanthanite would have those quirky traits too. The odd way she was sitting while the ship was warping along is on point for her character & the way she straighten up and took charge at red alert was on point for a leader
I see both sides of this. I prefer a Captain that shows/demonstrates...leads by example. How they carry themselves goes a long way toward showing subordinates 'how it's done'. The way Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway sat in the chair screams 'leader'.
A lot of talk about how she sat in the Captain's Chair. 1st, Holly Hunter nailed the part in the 2 episodes. She was cool under pressure, empowered & elevated others. However, a leader needs to show poise, decorum, & good character traits in general. Here she seems too relaxed
That said....there were a few things that made say 'huh' and even call BS on. A few other things I'm not sold on yet for various reasons and some others I hope they really don't touch on...leaving them open for other stories at some point. We'll see where the journey takes us...
Finished the first two episodes of #StarfleetAcademy I admit, I liked what I saw so far. I was drawn into the story and started to care for the characters (to the point of 'wonder what happens next'). No spoilers, but the refs to another Trek show really made me smile.
Another tease of things that we're working on...
Something new is coming. Our paid Patreon members will be full access to the final image first!
