Leave it to DeNA to make us care about pulling Red and Pikachu again. Very cute homage, but this also means every pair has to be measured to a new standard. 96 Red is so special I believe he won't rerun. Let's hope I'm wrong.
- Other Expansions [9/10]
Zerena: Doomed to mediocrity. She needed something similar to Diantha's 10/5, but DeNA wants her to be outclassed.
NC Marnie: Good synergy with her Alt. This makes Floor 30 clears much more palatable.
Nessa: Easier to use in LG but I'm still not EXing her.
- NC Kanto Trio Expansions [8/10]
Blue: Generic but his 3/5 is very complete anyway.
Red: I wish his Ice Zone wasn't tied to 1st Hit because NC Hilbert struggles with uptime.
Leaf: 5/5 is very worthwhile. Staggering is busted, but Leaf can't Flinch-lock in LG solos due to Rebuff dependency.
- Trainer Lodge Misty [7/10]
Fun Gauntlet novelty if you know how to Sleep chain. Misty ensure her accuracy but she is risky to solo with because she wants Fast-Track 2 to sustain a chain. TL Misty is notable for being a Water-type Sleeper, and that's useful under restricted rulesets.
- Challenger Bede [6/10]
Bede is structurally sound (on command WTZ, ramping, durability) and shares many traits with Mai. My gut is telling me to rank Bede lower but it's not *his* fault. Bede has a huge burden to bear given the current state of the Fairy meta, but he is the foundation they need.
- Challenger Marnie [5/10]
Ho boy we are going to see pairs built specifically for Gym vs Gym now. Marnie should frontline for Arc N + NC Marnie/Giacomo by coasting off staggers. No WTZ Extension sucks major ass because she can't retain EX WTZ and contribute progress at the same time.
- Anniversary Juliana [4/10]
Juliana's ramping and Rebuffs go overboard to compensate for how scuffed Normal-types are, so much so she can carry *Hugh* through the Normal Tower. When EX Normal Zone drops it's so over. This is the sort of efficiency I would have liked to see from Florian.
- Anniversary Florian [3/10]
Florian's individual prowess is concerning. Put him in optimal structures and he wrecks, but 1/5 performance is also important. Now that we've seen how DeNA calibrated their power barometer with SS Carmine, Arc Misty, 96 Red, et al, Florian feels par for the course.
- Red (1996) [2/10]
Red can't be faulted for what he is incapable of doing (Rebuffs, EX WTZ, physical damage) because he is *the* benchmark: his tool compression is so ridiculous he can substitute for Anniversary Gloria in Damage Challenge. This marks a new era of power creep.

The other huswolf for reference. They are very similar, although Lyall has little details (like the use of creases) that make him more appealing to look at. My only gripe was the production itself. This wasn't cheap and shipping took *2 years*

I pity'd Ball Guy so I'm out of funds for the month. I'd pull Adaman if I could. The nice thing about Towers is that it sets a clear goal, so you can sidestep redundant offerings.
I'm aiming for 300 clears this Gauntlet. Hope to see you on the streams!
- Hilbert Expansion [7/8]
Hilbert is an outdated buff enabler so he was looking out for Gauntlet tools. Recuperation 1 is a decision. I could've maybe forgiven this with MGR 9. Hilbert still wants Healthy Healing and overcaps to reach meaningful passives. Huge letdown compared to what Falkner got.
- Trainer Lodge Grimsley [6/8]
Grimsley combines the better aspects of Nate and Trainer Lodge Skyla by trading nuke for compression (debuffs + burst recovery + invincibility). This kit is frankly nuts for a F2P adjacent pair. Don't be shocked upon his Gauntlet streak.
- Arc Brock [5/8]
A close approximation to Arc Brock is Anniversary Red, down to the B Move range. Brock is, by all accounts, bland, so his brute force capacity without Anniversary Gloria or Perrin remains to be seen. Rock Rebuffs + Flinch lets him carry Alt Selene on Towers with a Circle battery.
