Keychron's Q and V series are among our go-to recommendations for off-the-shelf keyboards, and the latest iterations are a straightforward upgrade to the lineup, with benefits for regular users and deep-in-the-weeds keyboard nerds alike.

Marathon battery life makes Keychron’s Ultra 8K keyboards its best yet Two great keyboards, now even better.

New keyboard review ⌨️: I tested the Keychron V5 Ultra 8K and Q1 Ultra 8K. Remember when mechanical keyboards had terrible battery life? That’s wayyy in the rear view now that these boards run on ZMK firmware and can last weeks or months even with RGB.

For $599, the MacBook Neo offers fantastic build quality and solid performance in a sleek and ultra-portable package.

Windows laptops in this price range tend to be ugly, cheap-feeling, and a little slow.

Haha still not a typo but definitely poor choice of phrasing

And no, that’s not a typo. Six-digit ISOs are usable on this camera. Grainy, but usable. Reminds me of shooting Ilford Delta 3200 years ago

I know $2,200 can buy lots of black-and-white film, and you can convert color photos to b&w in post. But there are tangible benefits to a digital camera with no color filter array. The biggest is high ISO performance. Here's a GR IV Monochrome shot at ISO 204800 and the same on the color GR IV.

Allow me to explain why I love this camera that can’t shoot color There’s nothing else quite like this little guy.

I reviewed the Ricoh GR IV Monochome for @theverge.com and I’m obsessed. Shooting such high quality b&w photos with a camera that slips into your pocket is just unheard of.

$2,200 is a lot, but at least it’s not $8k like a Leica Q3 Monochrom.

I reviewed Windows laptops in the $600-ish price range and tested them against the MacBook Neo. The results may not shock you.

Last Marathon match of the night. A squad member goes afk and the two of us get merced at a guarded exfil. The other dude just makes it.

5 mins later, afk dude springs to life and rezzes me. We make it out with SECONDS to spare and he tells me “sorry dude I had to shit so bad!”

King shit

The new MacBook Pro is still fast as hell How big of an upgrade is it for M1 Pro / M1 Max owners?

Lots of M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro users are still going strong with their laptops. I often see them wondering at what point an upgrade is worthwhile. In my review of the new M5 Max MacBook Pro I re-tested those 2021 laptops to see how they compare.

Two images of Grace from Resident Evil Requiem. Both pictures feature a blonde white woman looking at the camera wearing a red jacket, grey tank top, and black zip up shirt. The left (DLSS 5 Off) image shows relatively flat texture to her skin, eye makeup, and hair color. The right image (DLSS5 On) shows more realistic skin texture and removes all of the shadows that are created by her hair and browline.

It also changes the character's presentation of her own appearance. In the DLSS off image, she's wearing understated makeup, with some light eyeliner and eye shadow and a neutral tone lipstick/gloss. In the DLSS on image, she has highlights in her hair, a fuller, darker red lip, a more defined eyebrow, and a much more intentional looking smokey eye makeup.

NVIDIA: What if we introduce ray tracing so you can have really high quality real-time lighting, models that cast shadows on themselves, and game lighting that looks _really_ real?

Also NVIDIA: What if we do that, and then throw out that lighting to run the yassify filter so everyone looks HOT?

You can’t do a bunch of stupid comedy bits and then play people off when they’re having the biggest moment of their life. It’s bullshit.

Never ceases to amaze that the Oscars has so many stupid bits and crummy attempts at comedy but they gotta cruelly cut people off and TURN THE LIGHTS OFF ON THEM to save time

PC makers are not ready for the MacBook Neo One executive has already stepped in it.

How unprepared are Windows laptop makers for the MacBook Neo? An executive from one of them said it's for "content consumption" — like it's a glorified Netflix machine.

This thing's gonna eat their lunch, and for the foreseeable future.
