"You can't just urge people to be careful"
This so much. A little legal disclaimer and warning to validate the output or to not use it for regulatory/financial/legal uses isn't going to stop people who just want to get the job done.

It's especially time saving when you don't validate the output and just click send.
Also highly specialized field + rotating on call schedule + vacant position that's been unfilled months = fuck it just hire the next person who applies with the right certs. Roll the dice before checking with former employers because what's the worst... oh god.
Yup, an actual doctor like this guy. When you fall between the crack of accountability and also not being too punitive so people will admit to their mistakes/not cover them up it gets horror show.
And I'll happily take a 2-3 hour layover over having the stress trying to make a tight connection. If I'm not on a strict timeline no need to put myself in a stressful situation.
And it's the second time this guy removed the wrong organ.
If they ever do get approval they'll be the next Marinol and Epidiolex... a 3-4th line therapy, that most patients discontinue after receiving 1-2 times because they're not that efficacious and have tolerability issues but worth a try when other treatments don't work.
I've been watching. The threshold with demonstrating efficacy to the FDA is lower than ever, yet companies like Lykos can't get MDMA across the finish line.
I get the appeal of believing that there's perfect treatments that are just barely out of reach due to regulation, but that's not reality.
Like cannabis it's going to fall short of the claims people trying to legalize it are making about it's actual efficacy in treating mental illness.
At best it'll end up a fourth line therapy for severe cases only, with very mixed results.
There are only two people who can get Bluesky working again.
Cowards, they could have gone with the abandoned and mostly forgotten style of milk-shake IPA and made it even weirder with some IBUs in the mix.
But finding out what it means and torturing your younger coworkers by using their slang is a delightful romp.
And I also know the women in my life will actually be hurt by the Trump admin. It's lousy choice.
You're uncomfortable with facing consequences, but sit with it and imagine how not having a majority in the Senate empowers people like Stephen Miller which I bet you don't like either.
I don't like Platner but I also don't like Nazis having unchecked control over the entire executive branch.
There's Nazis on both side of this equation unfortunately. ☹️ To stick it to one you empower dozens.
It's a crap choice but here we are because Maine may not want an older woman as their next Senator.
So you're fine if there's no action to be taken against the Trump admin until 2028?
Like for example if Democrats have a majority in the Senate if the House votes to impeach they can have a trial even if the votes aren't there to convict. If we need Maine to get 51 votes to do that is that worth losing to avoid Platner?
What are the consequences if Democrats don't get a majority in the Senate?
I respect people being revolted by him but the reality we live in if Platner wins the primary discouraging voting for him comes with consequences. I don't respect ignoring those consequences and not taking responsibility.
I don't think you can make conclusions like this based on the price of chicken over the last few years because avian flu and culling has played a bigger role in its price than just demand.
Cutting corners like this can break systems so you better swap that bologna out for some mortadella if you don't want to get yelled at.
My dad would proudly tell us how he had the hook up to get an Italian beef 12am Saturday during Lent. He couldn't even wait until lunch on Saturday to get his meat fix.
So if Platner wins the primary and Democrats miss the mark in the Senate by one seat because you discouraged voting for him that's your albatross to wear and own up to it.
Your motives are 100% reasonable but the consequences are still there.
Blazing hot take... with Platner if anyone advocating just let Collins win should never ever complain or whine when Democrats can't do things if they don't get a majority in the Senate.
I feel control of committees, subpoenas, deciding what goes up for a vote is critical to fixing any of this...
People got pissed at the suggestion of going meatless once a week, we already know where people's sentiment is so let's not pretend that lecturing people about the environmental impact of beef isn't going to do the same.
Say "well that sucks everything is getting expensive under Trump" and let the market drive down consumption.
You don't need to shame people for wanting to eat beef with takes of "actually beef is really bad".
Nothing gets the doom juices going like seeing the topic of the morning is pushing deeply unpopular ideas that voters will despise.
Being anti-beef will curdle sentiment on par with defunding the police. Just let people complain about prices, leave it be.
The fact they're admitting to abusing over the counter cough syrup while trying to pretend they're living the best life ever... ooof.
You should not be envious of or trying to mimic the lifestyle someone abusing dextromethorphan ever. That's some sad, pathetic stuff.
People don't even know what their mad about and the math behind figuring out if it's worth it.
Like Gilead are SOBs with how they played it with TAF's patent delaying TDF's release to the market, but they're also responsible for making HIV not a death sentence. It's not black and white.
I think we need to grapple with the fact the word "Nazi" has lost its impact and people tune it out because even if it's accurate they hear it being applied so often.
