Tis true.

"Finding the smallpox to be spreading much and fearing that no precaution can prevent it from running thro’ the whole of our Army, I have determined that the Troops shall be inoculated." - General George Washington, 6 Feb 1777

“The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force.
We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.”

Behind Hegseth’s big stupid face, a painting can be seen.

The painting is of George Washington crossing the Delaware. It is by Emanuel Leutze.

An article from the National Parks Service: Smallpox,
Inoculation, and the Revolutionary War
Boston National Historical Park
During the 1700s, smallpox raged through the American colonies and the Continental Army. Smallpox impacted the Continental Army severely during the Revolutionary War, so much so that George Washington mandated inoculation for all Continental soldiers in 1777. Just fifty-six years earlier, in 1721, Bostonian doctors and clergy introduced the procedure to the American colonies.
Without the vision and determination of these early Bostonians in normalizing inoculation, Washington may not have made the decision to mandate inoculation for the Continental Army. Though it was a controversial action, many historians credit the medical mandate with the colonists' victory in the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States of America.

I'm 45 with arthritis, but I hit a couple dingers in little league and have been to the batting cages in the last year. I'm just saying, on a lucky swing, I might be able to get you a blooper to left.

Donald Trump is very unpopular and being seen as opposing Donald Trump in clear moral terms is an almost instant path to political and cultural relevance.

It really does stun and amaze me that these people really do not believe he will eventually fuck them over despite all available evidence to the contrary. I mean, it's his entire existence. He's the ultimate scorpion.

Here’s is the problem with characterizing J6 as viewpoint discrimination: it is not. It was an attempt to overturn a lawful election. We have been here as scholars and we have a choice for history: we cannot rewrite public memory to excuse violent anti-democratic acts.

Outsourcing our political decisions, and that's what this is, to psychiatrists and doctors is not a healthy road to go down. Their job is to treat patients. It is not to decide who runs the government.

Takano has the power to initiate the process for Trump's removal! If you really truly believe he should be, the answer is impeachment. It's not the 25th Amendment. Pretending it's up to Vance and the Cabinet is a complete dodge. The body that matters here is the one Takano has a vote in, not RFK.
