I know just the place

I’m flattered.

By all means… explore, although I think we should get somewhere more private first.

If you want me… you may have me. I admit, I’ve become attracted to you as well, and I’m quite fond of the idea of… exploring one another

And you’re willing to risk ruining things with him for this?

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Perhaps I do…

Should we…? Are you sure David wouldn’t mind?

And who might that be? *she smiled and cocked an eyebrow teasingly*

Do you think you can convince him to open your relationship? Do you think you will be successful with however many partners you seek?

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Well, I’m glad then.

I can see how it would be a lot, especially for someone raised Vulcan like yourself.

Attracted to *several* others? Quite the polyamorous awakening you’ve had.

A mind-sifter? Horrible, only scum like the Tal’Shiar would use such a thing. These were clearly less than “honorable” Klingons.

He clearly need a lot of help, though it sounds like you don’t feel equipped to handle it all. I understand honestly, it can be overwhelming.

Other things?

Drifting how, if I might ask?

Oh. *she chuckled a little*

That is your decision. If you feel satisfied despite the distance, there is nothing for me to advise on.

It is an atrocity, no doubt. Many of us believed the Federation didn’t have the stomach for it. I’m… worried. These are dark times. I understand why you would wish to be here, but I fear the coming tide will arrive at Romulus’s shores eventually.

Although I’m curious, what did you think I meant?

Only that you needn’t turn your back on the home you have known for almost your entire life, nor resign yourself to Romulus.

I’ve come to carry a great deal of respect for you, and I know that the Federation still holds a place in your heart.

You are certain? I longed for home when I was away watching Nimbus III fall apart. I know you are one of us, Saavik, but need I remind you, our ancestors left Vulcan to be free. I believe, personally at least, that one aspect of what it means to be Romulan is to not deny yourself.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

So it seems, for now.

Will you return to the Federation now that things have calmed down?

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Good, maybe a little humanitarian aid will get the Klingons to see reason… of course far too many of my colleagues are excited to see our enemies tear each other apart and reap the spoils. They think we can swoop in and grab Romulan dominance from all this… it’s just mutually assured destruction

If I could convince the Senate to desist… an arms race like this could kill us all. The inventor… you said her name was Carol Marcus? She must be horrified.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

It’s unfortunate… you know, I actually supported the Nimbus III project. I really wanted our three nations to find common ground… now that seems impossible. The Klingons more aggressive than ever, the Federation is in shambles… the Star Empire is falling back to its old habits of paranoid isolation
