Figured it out in the end, it was me being stoopid - the image I was using was a olllld icon that was super fuzzy at the edges, and the select tool was doing it's job *too* well, and including the edges I didn't want. Just gonna remake the icon from scratch! It's for the best :P

I appreciate it! But also turns out it may be the actual layer I'm picking from, it's a ollllld icon and kinda skrungly so it may be still keeping the alpha from the selection, even though I'm trying to tell the tool to not do that. May just remake the radial icon in the end!

Unfortunately, I've turned off anti aliasing on both the magic wand and the lasso/select tool, and it's still doing it. It's adding this really weird, like soft-pass on the edges, even when I'm using a strictly full-opacity brush. I shouldn't be able to draw past the select line. This really sucks.

I've been using CSP for years, and suddenly when I open it today and use any of the Select tools, it's automatically blurring the edge of the selection, even when I use vector brushes or fill. What the heck is going on, and is there a way to turn it off? I can't make sharp icons with this.

possibly, i wanted to watermark it so only the owner would have access to the final unwatermarked version. I can make the next version have a fainter watermark

Yep! My avatar is made to be multiple kinds of hooved animals, so I include the top teeth for horses. I tried to mimic the dental pad with the pattern on the roof of the mouth!
