Dram 5 Finish: the burnt rubber stays the whole way through, nice but wanted a little more from it. Could have been a 4 but a 3 this time #BlindDrams
Dram 5. Palate: burnt rubber, salty, like licking an envelope, slightly ashy, walnut shell, slight tropical note #BlindDrams
Dram 5. There is an Orange tinge going on to the gold here. N: Smells like a pencil, not pencil shavings, including the lead, maybe mineral, smells like a caprentars floor, heavy and chunk knit wool rug, stale frazzles, rubber tyre, underripe strawberry #BlindDrams
Dram 4 Finish: lime cream soda from start to finish, medium to long dry finish. Score 3 #BlindDrams
Dram 4. Palate: strawberry and cream sweets, brandy cream, fresh limes, peach cobbler, icing sugar #BlindDrams
Dram 4: Almost identical colour to the last, pale fellow but maybe even a touch more pale. N: Pear Drops, furniture polish, agave syrup, candied orange peel, clotted cream fudge, limeade ice cream float #BlindDrams
Dram 3. Finish medium, bit of a marmite dram, I am unsure if I dislike or find it uber interesting. Score 2 #BlindDrams
Dram 3 Palate: metallic up front but got ginger biscuits, dusty oak table, wet cardboard, citrus, seaweed. Palate is quite different than the palate but I am finding this interesting #Blind Drams
Dram 3: yellow tinted glass, very pale. N: Toffee pennies/fire cracker toffee, milk duds, tiramisu #BlindDrams
Dram 2 Finish: hot honey, soap, not for me. Score 1 #BlindDrams
Dram 2. Palate: acetone, pickled vegetables, copper pennies, liquorices all sorts, #BlindDrams
Dram 2: Straw Yellow. N: lemon sherbet, oregano, shortbread, don’t know if the theme is affecting me but getting smell of paint tin just opened, green apple skins, got some Irish vibes from this, plasticine, moss, Comte #BlindDrams
Dram 1 Finish: quite short, tart finish with lingering stone fruit. Score: 1/5 #BlindDrams
Dram 1. Palate: Stewed apples covered in sugar, slightly earthy, tequila/paloma vibes. Milk and tattie soup, white pepper #BlindDrams
Dram 1: Colour: Amber/Honey. Nose: Frosties, slight menthol, wine gums, stone fruit, autumn leaves, daisies and hessian #BlindDrams
Guess I better squeeze these out for tonight’s tasting #BlindDrams

Tonight’s #BlindDrams hosted by us three Rentons (the Triumvirate, being three rulers) showcased whiskies from distilleries which are no more than 30 years old (Tridecadal, being a *ChatGPT word* for a 30 year period) - in honour of Lochranza Distillery’s (and Jamie’s) 30th birthday this year!
TIME FOR THE REVEAL #BlindDrams
Dram 5 N - #BlindDrams
Dram 5: Like someone just said this is Jazz, a lot going on, lotf of great things to say about this. Not everybody's cup of tea. A 4 from me only because Dram 4 was more on balance for me. But this is still a great shouty dram, got a very cigar like note to it. Score 4. #Blind Drams
Dram 5: Nose Sherry, very sulphur but on the good end for me. reminds me of either Kilkerran or Kilchoiman #BlindDrams
Dram 4: Finish: Who cares this is up my street. Score 5. Could this be beat? #BlindDrams
Dram 4: Palate: Shell fish, fish shop. I am on the edge of a beach and loving this #BlindDrams
Dram 4: Appearance: Red Copper although less burnt copper than number 3. Nose: Saffron heavy Paella after poruing some wine in. salt and vinegar. slight kola cube. #BlindDrams
Dram 3: 3 for me, lovely dram but the pine notes are something that is something I want some times but not all of the time. #BlindDrams
