Same, just not all that interesting. I’ll be watching the Olympics instead and catch up on any interesting commercials later.

Let’s go USA hockey!
Not often that I post on social media, but when the CDC has become so politicized that you can’t trust anything they do any longer, I think it is worth mentioning. These types of decisions will end up killing people, we just don’t know how many yet. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/05/h...
The customer service I have received from FedEx regarding a lost package is the worst I have ever received. In two weeks I have been told that it is lost, that it was found, and then they can't find it again. Absolutely terrible. #FedEx
Everyone needs a Sophie Cunningham in their corner. Everyone needs an advocate. Now the WNBA has given her a stage to show just how mismanaged the league is. I hope it all gets put on display and the league is forced to take accountability.
@wnba.com really looking forward to how the violence against Caitlin Clark is justified in Sophie Cunningham’s lawsuit. The entire league management team and ref staff need to be dismissed and restructured. The league is out of touch and completely incapable of running effectively or ethically.
It may not be an intentional mass surveillance program, but it sure seems like one nine-the-less…
Tracking code Meta and Yandex embed into millions of sites is de-anonymizing visitors by abusing legitimate Internet protocols, causing Chrome and other browsers to surreptitiously send unique identifiers to native apps installed on a device, researchers discovered.

Always a blast to have the fire alarm go off in a hotel that you are staying in when you are 18 floors up.
Regan got it, why can’t anyone in the current administration get it? I suspect it is because Regan actually cared about his country, even if not everything he did turned out well. www.instagram.com/reel/DICro5g...
I am not a very frequent flyer, but I no longer care about whether I fly Southwest or not anymore. All my rewards are with them and going forward, they aren’t the only option, they are just another option. Short-term gain and long-term loss for them as a company. - www.dailymail.co.uk/yourmoney…
Jokes on you Meta, this news coverage is more publicity than Sarah had ever gotten before this news broke. Just bought the audio book - www.bbc.com/news/arti…
I do not understand why anyone is paying the ridiculous prices the scalpers are charging for the new AMD and NVidia GPUs right now. What good reason is there to pay 2x+ the MSRP for these cards? Patience people, patience!
Time for GAC 2025 to start tomorrow. Looking forward to reconnecting with my colleagues from all around the country!
One of my favorite lines from the new Martin Hench novel by @doctorow@mamot.fr - “Do good, try things, follow through.” A solid philosophy for all to live by. I feel like it is particularly relevant to credit unions, where our members need more support from good organizations than ever before.
If my experience at the local Starbucks tonight is any indication then it is no wonder why they are laying off people. Slowest service I have ever seen in a drive through. Your coffee isn’t worth waiting 20 minutes for.
It’s really becoming hard to be an AI realist in a world where everyone so willingly drank the koolaid. I feel like half my life is now spent trying to convince people that AI is not what they think it is. It’s worse than banging your head against a wall.
my book, stream big, surrounded by glowing lights as though at a rave or something
today is the day! my book, stream big, is out now! it tells the story of twitch through the lens of nine different streamers large and small. it’s the product of five years of research, reporting, and writing, and I’m really proud of it

I have wanted a PC with dual Pentium Pro 200 MHz CPUs since I was a kid in high-school. It was my dream setup. I can find the CPUs, but I can’t find the motherboard/case to go with them anymore. If anyone has a line on where to find such a thing, let me know.
Deployed a new web app using Laravel Forge this afternoon. Another little app to support one of my favorite twitch streamers that I am a moderator for for. Love these little side projects.
Trying to get into journaling to improve my focus and clarity on what matters most. So far it has proven to be therapeutic if not insightful. I am also using this as a chance to begin writing with a fountain pen which is more fun than I would have thought.
I am getting so tired of being trapped in the AI hype cycle right now. We as technologists need to be doing more to provide people with fact vs fiction when it comes to AI, ML, and how effective these tools are. It’s not healthy to be oblivious to potential pitfalls of these types of technology.

This is why I am happy I no longer run an on-premise MS Exchange server. There are certainly some organizations that need to do so, but the vast majority do not. The risk far outweighs the possible benefits at this point - [https:// blog.jonathancilley.com/2025/01/24/this-is-why-i...

I’ll fix it for them: “Now is the time for creators to go setup Ghost at an inexpensive hosting provider and claim their own land.”
I’m really confused as to how a law passed by both chambers of congress and upheld by the Supreme Court is not being enforced today. I’m not saying I agree with the TikTok ban, but I thought we were a country that believed a little bit in the rule of law.
Congratulations for the Forbes 30 under 30 list for continuing to hype up people actively committing fraud. It's always fun to guess which list member is going to get charged next. www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/ceo-artific...
