Yeah like it was all initial application-level bullshit

it's just like 8 pages of "has your address changed? has your phone number changed? did you receive any of this type of income? if so, how much? did you receive any of this type of income? if so, how much? did you receive any of this type of income? if so, how much? did you receive any of this type"
I was trying to do that but the language is pretty obscure and I couldn't find it on there in the moment but I actually just finished getting a tab open and set to that before I posted, so if she comes back I'll have it ready
on one hand this is the second most not-my-job thing I've ever done at the pharmacy (the first being helping a recent immigrant activate their credit card which is owned by the same parent company as the pharmacy) but on the other hand helping someone get the drugs they need is the Most My Job sooo
found a phone number for her to call and wrote out a list of basic points to cover like "why was my coverage terminated? what do I need to do to get it back? when will it be reactivated after I do those things?" and she's gonna have an English-speaking person she knows call them.
she is so sick! she keeps ending up in the hospital! but no for sure keep cancelling her prescription insurance over this bullshit that's gonna make it better
so we got her signed in and got the form done for this month and I was trying to explain it's EVERY MONTH so hopefully she got that?? WHO KNOWS
she had an email and EVERY MONTH she has to log on to this portal and fill out an 8-PAGE FORM to keep her benefits. she didn't know how to click the link in the email. she didn't know how to log into the portal. SHE DOESN'T SPEAK ANY ENGLISH.
one letter was like "you made a verbal agreement to establish care with a PCP and have them fill out this form and you didn't do that" WHAT VERBAL AGREEMENT. SHE DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.
I had a patient who doesn't speak English at all and I was trying to explain her coverage was terminated (she is very sick and needs some very expensive meds!). She came back with all the letters and emails from her benefits so I went through them with her and I want to explode the UPC with my brain
I'm the only non-Arabic-speaking white person at this pharmacy and the chain just released some new pamphlet with someone who looks a LOT like me and let me tell you "oh sure, alll white guys look alike" jokes are killing it with my coworkers
the number of times where I have said "okay well the two options are [PT/therapy/etc] or medication, you can do both but if you want to treat it you do have to pick at least one"
I also like it when I follow that up with some non-pharmaceutical suggestions and they don't wanna do those either
I like it when people ask me a question and after a detailed consultation they go "oh, I don't want to take pills for it" like. okay well you asked your question at the Taking Pills For It Centre
This is eugenics.
I am one of the people they want to "clean up." I have long-term health issues that cause me to need expensive medications and occasionally procedures to maintain a baseline.
I am disabled, and don't "work" in a way they recognize.
RFK Jr wants me dead.
Yet again I remind everyone (as Elizabeth does in her very next tweet) that "foreigners are corrupting our pure blood with weakness & disease" is Fascism 101. Not some variant, not some metaphorically similar thing, not some echo -- the thing itself.
In the room where your toothbrush lives!!
I feel like that would simply increase the number of "unflushed toilet" incidents in our household
I can't believe I've been forced to develop a clarithromycin vendetta, it's like being mad about imipenem or something bsky.app/profile/jbla...
oh, not clarithromycin???
Image of a male patient having sinuses examined. In the photo a health care provider is placing their thumbs on either side of a patient's nose, near their cheek.
An observational study of more than half a million adults suggests amoxicillin may be the preferred first-line treatment for uncomplicated sinusitis in adults, according to researchers.

my real issue with men leaving the toilet seat up is it implies that after you flush y'all are just. rawdogging the plume???
"yesterday" I mean today. this afternoon. I'm tired.
HE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE
two senior citizens waiting for their vaccines got into an argument about Trump's immigration policy right next to my station yesterday and I was like
still at $385 to go to stay housed w/ an hour left and scrambling for more excuses lol. anything helps!

the Trans-Canada Highway didn't turn a profit last year! my kid's elementary school didn't turn a profit last year! that's not how that works!!
"this public service didn't turn a profit" THAT'S WHAT THE TAXES ARE FOR
Why the fuck am I paying taxes if Canada Post has to turn a profit?!?
It costs $1 to mail a postcard across the country. Of course it's not profitable! That's not the damn point! The point is keeping people connected and this is especially true in rural, remote and Northern communities where for-profit courier services will *never* fill the gap.
