Erm actually the coolest thing about Returnal is that one boss that plays Don't Fear The Reaper, sorry!

I think he's an incredible actor but my first experience with him was watching the It television miniseries at Too Young and I had an irrational fear of Tim Curry for years after
THEY HAVE RISEN!
Not to imply movies can't genuinely be progressive! But I think a lot of these films just embody progressive aesthetics knowing that suburban white moms will turn up in droves for them.
I went into this expecting one of those token "woke" movies that don't really believe in anything beyond appealing to a demo. Instead I got a pretty kick ass action-drama with somebody who should've been catapulted to immediate stardom for their leading role.
Growing up in rural America has its challenges, even as, I'd say, a progressive adult, some words still trigger my conservative youth instinct that I have to beat down. Even though "micro-aggressions" absolutely are real and important the word triggers an eldritch emotion I have to fight w/ a stick
I read Annihilation a few weeks ago and really loved it, very interesting to see cosmic horror used for an ecological message, short too, if that matters to you.
Reads a little bit like those nuclear disposal site warnings
Guy at my first FNM gave me a big bag of cards and a playmat as a welcome present, I always love seeing new people be supported in the hobby
They only care about injustice insofar as it can be used to prevent or argue against social change, to preserve the status quo
Its my favorite novel for a reason. I understand some people dislike it's purple prose but I think it is a modern classic in every sense of that word.
Ain't no way NL isn't hearing an ominous bell tolling rn
This NL cruise stuff is fucking weird man
This is *actually* friend that's too woke, btw. No you don't get to name the thing you discovered!!! That's colonialism! We should hold a worldwide vote to name it instead! As if that's even possible
Which fictional character do you think has the biggest hog
I don't mean to come across too blunt but it is *literally* the bit from the end of starship troopers.
"So do I, and So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"
It seems to me that some actors on this website, even when prompted with non-violent (though not peaceful, as all protest must disrupt the peace) means of changing society yell "just cower harder! Be more pathetic! The meek shall inherit the earth!" As though we might win through pity.
This appeal to "a return to civil discourse" is blatantly ahistorical. Violence has been used in American politics as a tool for as long as there have been American politics. I do not condone murder, I think it is morally and ethically wrong, but I also believe that actions have consequences.
The only places people should be allowed to live
Los Angeles
New York City
Chicago
Philadelphia
Seattle
DC
Everywhere else is NOT a real place and should not be considered as such
The actions of this administration will be an eternal stain on this nation and its history in the same way as chattle slavery is. We will never be able to earn forgiveness or redemption.
This user is being paid by the democratic party btw ^
He'll be lucky *today*
Americans are Treatlers and would gladly kill a large portion of the population if it made hamburgers 5% cheaper
It's okay, they actually just announced they canceled April fools this year, look it up
In his defense I *also* looked it up and all the actual results are also useless
I'm glad you're still here
Could certainly be bullshit but I'm going to support it uncritically because though I believe he did do it I don't think he should be punished
@LW4941 on venmo btw
