I have absolutely done this, both the 8 songs and the rationale for each.

The term “inflation is falling” is confusing at best, which is what the OP was trying to say. News reports would be less confusing for the layperson if they said “the rate of inflation was slowing” or similar. You could argue the OP was inarticulate but not that he was economically illiterate

Not content with bringing back measles, the US government seem to want to being back scurvy as well

Go on then, talk us through what is “economically illiterate” about that opinion. Be as specific as possible.

I live in one of those countries with universal healthcare (UK) and ~2 months ago was referred for a colonoscopy. Appointment was made for a date within 3 weeks of the referral and, what’s more, was on a Sunday so I didn’t have to take time off work. This was all totally free on the NHS.

That’s how Shooter originally got the Legion gig as a 13 year old. He didn’t know how comics were created so sent Mort Weisinger basically full comics that he pencilled, lettered and scripted and Weisinger often used Shooter’s rough pencils as layouts for the regular artist

This is totally untrue.

If you look at the current premier league season, the average number of goals scored/game is 2.7 and 27% of games have ended in a draw.

In the first premier league season in 1992/93, fewer goals were scored (2.6 per game) and games were more likely to end in a draw (28%)

Maybe Collins really wasn’t that fussed? After all, he was offered the chance to be the commander of Apollo 17 and but turned it down.

As long as we don’t adopt the US term “I could care less” - that really will be the final straw for me…

Fair point. Maybe “wrong” isn’t the correct term to use here.

It just annoys me because spitting feathers makes no sense when used as a term to convey anger.

(I think the phrase has become conflated with “spitting mad” which very clearly does mean “very angry”)

SPITTING FEATHERS is another that people nowadays always get wrong. They use to mean someone is really angry when it actually means that someone is really thirsty… “my mouth is so dry I’m spitting feathers”

You might think RHCP are shit but you simply cannot say they’ve been playing the same songs throughout their career. Listen to their first couple of albums and compare that to their recent output - it might as well be two completely different bands

It’s no good just them dying though - the whole world needs to be destroyed for their prophecies to come true.

That’s the thing though, they know they are not immune - they don’t want to be immune. They believe in an eternal afterlife and so actively want to bring about the end of the world
