Not cowardly. Evil.

They're not there because they're scared to leave, they're at his side because they put themselves there to reap whatever scraps of material reward fall off the master's dinner table. They are complicit conspirators and sycophantic enablers in it purely for greed, not victims

Your comics have made me happy for many years Katie. I hope you find even a small fraction of that happiness waiting for you on the other side of this tough time.

The daft cunt couldn't be more blatantly hiding oppression behind populism if he tried.

As a long term bar manager myself, I can tell you that the price of a pint is determined by the greed of huge international brewing corporations like ABInbev, Diageo and Heineken, and massive taxes. Not benefits

Thank you, Alec, from the UK.

That's the thing though, in UK English "I'll have" or "I'll get" feels less polite because it sounds to (at least) my ears like a demand, not a request, even if it's said in the most polite tone possible. I assume the same doesn't apply in the states.

This is obviously just some kind of cultural barrier, but in the UK, if anything you're expected to be MORE polite and courteous to strangers than your friends.

If you were visiting a friend's house would you say "I'll have a glass of water, please" or "Can I have a glass of water, please?

"Fostering diversity and Inclusion" means actively combatting any anti-diverse and anti-inclusive views/people within the given community, to be clear.

Absolutely no tolerance for intolerance, ever.

Alec, I appreciate your particular brand of 'disappointed parent' political activism so much, just wanted you to know.

Spitting is far better than they deserve. I was thinking something heavier.

Make ignorance painful again.

Education is the cure to fascism, and that's why every wannabe fascist starts by cutting education.

Violently.

Not metaphorically.

Violence is being done to us and we're trying to 'peaceful protest' it away. That time is over.

The healthiest thing for me to do right now is to fight ignorance and I'm taking the kid gloves off.

The world as a whole owes a fucking apology to Rage Against The Machine, because all of fucking THIS *gesturing at everything* is EXACTLY what they were fucking trying to warn us about

You're 100% right of course, and it's a huge shame that the fossil fuels industry is about to be lobbying even harder than normal, in collaboration with the US Military.

That's why we say "Wishing you a happy new year" and not "expecting you to have a happy new year"

Using Halo 4 as an example of literally anything is low hanging fruit, come on now.

There needs to be a stronger version of "Show less like this" / "Not Interested" that's labelled something like "I don't even know wtf this is, and the fact that the algorithm thought this would be interesting to me is honestly kind of freaking me out".

Trump was directly preventing peace in Gaza by supporting, funding and excusing the crimes of the Israeli government for 2 years, but now he pivots because another rich old white man told him to, and suddenly it's the "Trump Peace Plan"?

Trump couldn't plan a birthday party, let alone peace in Gaza

The "solutions" always entail the destruction of personal liberties for all, not just the 'underclass', as well as free speech and education, all with the intent to gradually remove the public's desire, and soon after, ability to dissent.

Precisely correct.

Without a "problem" to solve, there is no justification for the horrible deeds they commit.

The "problem" can change, when convenient, from the Jews, to the Blacks, to the Muslims, the Gays and the Transgenders, but every "solution" will be "just the first steps", never complete

That's just how fascism works.

There always needs to be someone "below" your group, to be used as a boogeyman to rally against, and a scapegoat to cover for the leaders' crimes.

If the problem was "solved" there'd be no excuse for fascism anymore, so it must never be solved.

It goes without saying that if you consider "Anti-Fascists" your enemy, then you are admitting to being a fascist.

Finally, the conservatives tacitly agree that the Jan 6 capitol riot was a terrorist attack.

I've never heard the term "groyper" before, but Google tells me it's the fandom for some other right wing propagandist. What suggests that Kirk's killer is one of them though, other than general terminal online-ness?
