Been getting out and about a bit more the last few days, with my minders!!

It’s a bit chilly and breezy but the boys and I are sat outside with a cuppa and some crochet enjoying the church bells 🥰
Hope to be back next week 🙏🏻
The less suited to military exercises went to the beach!
Lovely morning! The sun shone and we visited 901 Troop Marine Cadets, Winterton, who are out on weekend exercise. The boys had fun with Troop mascot Rambo, couldn’t get a photo which included all 3 spaniels together!
He doesn’t usually choose such clean water 🫣
Managed to walk 3 miles this morning, while the sun was shining - it was glorious along the river ☀️ #postoprecovery
Two years serving the lovely peeps of @fleggnorthchurches.bsky.social - friendships have grown and I’ve been embraced by a sense of belonging #Godisgood
Making the most of the sunshine!
Last week in my post-op recovery I was focused on walking, this has continued this week together with some vocal warm ups to help with inner strengthening and a sense of wellbeing. It’s good we live in a detached house as I drone or screech my way through these each day!

Crochet, reading, pots of tea and having communion at home 😉
The great outdoors!
One of my favourite evening prayers 🙏🏻
There are some lovely musical things happening at St Mary’s West Somerton in the next few months, all the info is below. We’d love to see you!
Lovely sunshine!
Happy Easter friends!
My lovely Razzy doesn’t do cuddles like his brother, instead all night, every night since my op he has laid against me, providing support and comfort all night, he’s such a little love and I’ve been very grateful for his constant, kind, stillness.
Yesterday evening this chap decided I was truly on the road to recovery and so for the first time since my op (on 16 March) he adopted his usual position on the sofa. Until yesterday he’d been lying near but not quite next to me … funny how they know!
Made the most of a lovely morning to go on a longish dog walk!
Forgot to post these sunset photos from Tuesday evening!
10 weeks of beginner’s crochet lessons from zero knowledge to this, a blanket of learning (needs blocking) but it’s been a fun 10 weeks and I’ve learnt so much 🫶🏻 thank you to our awesome teacher Sarah at The Lost Sheep Wool Shop
A bit late finishing this week’s homework #crochetclasses
Beauty on a misty afternoon walk!
A bit of personal news …I’ll be having surgery to remove my ovaries the week after next. The surgery is preventative and my bloods are all ok.
I’ve spent almost 4 hours today copying, folding and stapling orders of service for lovely colleagues who’ve offered to cover my absence!
A day of relaxing with a little bit of work thrown into the mix here and there. I finished my crazy crochet blanket this evening.
The last few weeks I’ve been doing a bit of Freeform Crochet, the striped yarn gives the impression of using mixed yarns but it’s all chunky! I’m not sure when it will be done but I’m guessing I’ll know - trying to channel “a day at the fiesta” vibe into a cosy blanket!
Quiet morning “Praying with St Francis of Assisi” with Sisters Of Bethany … gloomy dog walk later on brightened by some swans in flight (not very good photos)!
This week’s crochet homework complete! Haven’t really enjoyed the bobbles 🫣
Lovely warm springtime day today!
