If you've played the House of Hikmah, the beautiful Arab-made narrative platformer about the grief of losing a parent - please do leave a review. It's really hard to make bespoke human games like this in 2026, and the team really gave it their all.

🎶 Spent my #gamedev time this week refactoring the singing system. Notes can now be held, and notes are reinforced visually by their colour-coded corresponding element. It's fun!

I'm trying to align gameplay with narrative as closely as possible, so now, when the players health increases, their magic energy decreases, and vice versa. Additionally, I'm adding rhythm/pattern matching to as many game scenarios as feels right
