This is not bitchy subskeeting, by the by. This is me looking at a fresh wave of “lockdown was so hard” posts and just…

There is very little cognition that some people never left, because everyone else stampeded to get out.

IF YOU BUILD A BIKE LANE THAT DOESN'T CONNECT TO ANOTHER BIKE LANE THEN YOU DIDN'T BUILD A BIKE LANE

Doesn't this cut the other way? If the Justices are operating outside of political pressure because they have life time appointments, release of their memos shouldn't affect them. That's a reason for greater transparency, not less.

Loss of federal funding puts national rehab group for violent sexual offenders at risk Circles of Support and Accountability, shown to reduce reoffending, warns site closures could undermine community safety

I salute all my colleagues who work with offenders because it's not only really difficult work that can challenge your values but it's also *incredibly* difficult to drum up support & resources. "Why should we give $$ to child molesters?!"

But the reality is, we need these programs to keep us safe.

a black and white design that reads "you could learn a lot from a lesbian." to the right of the text are various items such as carabiners, a boot, a lollipop, a hammer, a boot, an apple, a lighter, cherries, a bouquet of flowers, a butterfly wing, and many stars. the entire image is textured to be grainy.

I was going to say I think the glaze would stop people from buying them but if that's unplanned I say yes definitely make more. People LOVE one off things so they can say I am the only person to have gotten this.

We have a chance of removing the Online Safety Act!

Any UK residents, PLEASE take the time to fill out the whole form. If we want to remove ID verification on websites that actually don't need it, we need to take action NOW!

“An understanding

Kent hears from those she represents all the time about road safety.

"I know people want us as a municipality to make the streets safer. There's only so much we can do, and that people have to take responsibility for their own driving habits."

“An understanding Kent hears from those she represents all the time about road safety. "I know people want us as a municipality to make the streets safer. There's only so much we can do, and that people have to take responsibility for their own driving habits."

I really feel for Becky Kent. This shouldn’t have happened to her, her feelings are valid, and I think she handled it well

But!

No, the answer is not hoping & wishing that all drivers will suddenly start behaving responsibly. The answer is engineering safer streets, combined with more enforcement

I'm not able to reply to the post but someone tagged me in it. Pigeons will reuse old nests and build on top of them, and this is probably what's happening here, considering the nest has 3 eggs and pigeons only lay 2 at a time! Also, pigeons will build larger nests as they get closer to baby time.

Ridgewood mom fatally struck in Bushwick hit-and-run after dropping daughter at school: NYPD – QNS A Ridgewood mother was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver shortly after walking her daughter to school just before 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17,

My heart just breaks for the little girl who, not minutes after her beautiful mama dropped her off to school, had to get taken out of class to hear her mom is dead.
The truck driver is not being charged. Just another “oops”.
This poor family. Devastating.

1 block after this intersection we walked by a mom & kid (who we don’t know, but do pass often on the sidewalk) as they waited for the schoolbus.

They were checking out the recently bloomed tulips at the corner and we joined in, admiring the hints of spring together. 🌷

Cars dehumanize people.

Every time a man kills his family I am reminded how little this country cares about children. Not here, and certainly not overseas, where we're bombing schools or supporting other regimes that also bomb schools and traumatize while generations en masse

This shoreline on Lake Huron is circulating an enormous amount of water every second to cool one of the largest nuclear power plants in the world.
Bruce Power sits directly on the lake because it needs a constant flow of cold water to operate.
