I was born, raised and still live in rural Wales. My ancestral farmhouse is a ruin surrounded by conifer trees. I understand the fears.

But it's the loss of nature I fear far more.

I kind of wish that the world wasn't divided into those of us who would be embarrassed to debase ourselves in public and those who really, really aren't. I feel like 20 years ago, even knowing a political figure recorded greetings for money would be enough to end their political aspirations

1/2. He took the greatest military force in history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, & demanded the media lie about this & everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone mistakes this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength.

Seems like we could solve a lot of the world’s problems if we just dropped 30 or so specific dudes into a volcano.
