We were a bit further in from the station so missed the main grime - it's a bit run down compared to other Itailan cities but there's still some amazing buildings and a beautiful seafront. Just an awful lot of scooters to avoid!

It felt just as safe as other cities - the main risk is getting run over by a scooter as they are everywhere!
