After having close to 200 hrs in the game, Crimson Desert is like a 7.5/10. I say play it, but it's nowhere near one of the greatest games of all time. The story is barely there, it is kind of a "greatest hits" of systems from other games, and the post-game content is almost non-existent.

The Hernane questline has 28 quests, and not knowing which one is next has me running around like a fool.

The worst quests in Crimson Desert are the Tales of (insert region) Residents quests. They commit a cardinal sin in open world questline design, imo. There is no marker until you're near the person, AND they don't tell you which quest is next, so you have to run around until you find the right one.
